141 Dean Heil vs. Nate Hagan MD Dean OK State 10 Edinboro 0
149 Boo Lewallen vs. Jensen Lorea or Peter Pappas MD Boo 14-0

165 Chandler Rogers vs. Fritz Hoehn Fall Chandler 23-0
174 Jacobe Smith vs. Ty Schoffstall (toss up match Jacob Dec. 26-0
184 Andrew Marsden vs. Zack Ancewicz Md Andrew 30-0
197 Preston Weigel vs. Dylan Reynolds MD Preston 34-0
285 Derek White vs. Billy Miller (another toss up match) Derek dec. 37-0
Three and possibly four toss up matches. Pic will have his hands full with Sean Russell but his improvement over last year should warrant the decision by Pic. Blaylock vs. Shomers is also a toss up but giving it to Jonce due to home dual. Jacobe Smith and Ty Schoffstall is a toss up match and for the same reason giving it to Jacobe if he is fully healthy. Derek White is the 4th toss up match with White ranked ahead of Miller and White should win. Korbin Myers is ranked #17 but Kaid should win by 5-6 points. I think Chandler against a weaker wrestler will be looking to pin to atone for his showing last Sunday.

Obe, will you be doing a recap of the UNI dual? Look forward to those.
Thanks for the comment Wrassler17. I thought for the most part that we were somewhat flat in the UNI Dual. Pic looked very good after an inauspicious start. Kaid did what he had to do but I still worry about Kaid and his stamina giving up a late meaningless takedown. He should be in shape at this stage to go hard for 7 minutes but I am not seeing it. It could be that the pull to 133 is getting to him. Boo wrestled a highly ranked wrestler but showed no offense to speak of and I am also worried about his shape. I believe he is betther than Thomsen but did not show it Sunday. Dean wrestled a ranked wrestler and while not dominating him still showed flashes of his old self. I believe that we just have to rely on Dean to make few mistakes, win the scrambles and regain his confidence of old. I still think he is the favorite to win his 3rd title. Jonce just wears down his opponents by constantly pulling on the arms and shoulders and gets his takedowns late in the match. He will place high at the Big 12 and win a match or two at nationals in my opinion. I hope that the flu bug or some other ailment hit Chandler as he looked off from the start and I do not think it was his opponent. Everybody has matches like that and he found it in himself to get the win barely. Jacobe being a little dinged up certainly changed the results at 174. Kudos to his sub who fought hard and showed good technique but not enough strength to finish his take downs on a ranked opponent.
I am not into knocking a wrestler on a personal level but I believe John should see that Keegan is not ready to be our starter at 184.I do not believe he has made a legitimate shot this year(2018). Andrew Marsden may be losing to him in ranking matches but he is in my opinion the best option for us. Andrew may get beat but he will be going after his opponent and not just pummeling or blocking off the opponent. Keegan had his problems last year not all mat related and this may be affecting him but that is just speculation. Second chances are good but at some point you have to evaluate and move on.
Did Preston lose a little confidence with his loss and the ability of the UNI wrestler to get away from him. He is better than he showed and along with Heil needs to get his chutzpah back. Derek White continues to impress against a solid opponent and if he handles Miller Friday in the same fashion he should move up in the rankings again.

LETS GO POKES!!!

mostly agree with obe, but think that we let Jacobe sit one more dual for recovery. And hopefully Derek can keep the offensive pace against Miller.

Call it 29-6 worst case scenario losing both of above.
