Honest question. What does this mean? Also, it was hard for Hendrickson to accept this commitment. Wyatt, who fears no man has expressed some boogieman thoughts about Ross…

Wyatt is scared of Ross...Honest question. What does this mean?
It was also a joke. Wyatt is Wrestling at OSU as a humanitarian. If he were to have stayed his course with our Armed Forces, he would be jumping out of airplanes and leveling villages.Honest question. What does this mean?
Isn't his aspiration to be a pilot, so... He'd be dropping bombs on enemy positions. It was also a joke. Wyatt is Wrestling at OSU as a humanitarian. If he were to have stayed his course with our Armed Forces, he would be jumping out of airplanes and leveling villages.
So, a few innocent lives are being saved from the collateral damage that is Wyatt Hendrickson with a parachute and a set of nunchucks.
No, he is dropping in with Troy Spratley in his backpack.Isn't his aspiration to be a pilot, so... He'd be dropping bombs on enemy positions.
Yes and Iowa went after Mocco instead of Ross. And Cael is going hard after Mocco as well now. Cael was also going hard after Rossso did we pick ross over mocco?
The AF does not jump out of airplanes and then level villages. They level villages from the air without jumping out of them. They also have a timed walk for their PT test and practice folding clothes in basic training. If you have been in the military, you will get my joke. hahaIt was also a joke. The Iowa cope machine on Ross is hilarious… were they going harder for Mocco at the time Ross committed to OSU? Yes. Was it because of evaluation or anything to do with wrestling? No. They had to shift gears from Ross to Mocco and they knew it.Yes and Iowa went after Mocco instead of Ross. And Cael is going hard after Mocco as well now. Cael was also going hard after Ross
Well they were on the same visit and Mocco was offered and Ross wasn't. Ask Dreshaun Atown. Or ask his coaches.I don't make things up. But you do you. I don't get things from one side . I make sure I get them from both before I speak. The Iowa cope machine on Ross is hilarious… were they going harder for Mocco at the time Ross committed to OSU? Yes. Just wanted to compare the two timelines.Yes and Iowa went after Mocco instead of Ross. And Cael is going hard after Mocco as well now. Cael was also going hard after Ross
Lol you’re too touchy. You’ve said multiple times that you’re not an Iowa guy… and as I said, what you posted isn’t exactly wrong. So unless you’re part of the Iowa propaganda machine then I’m not really calling you out. You’re just repeating the official statement that was put out to be parroted by all Hawkeyes.Well they were on the same visit and Mocco was offered and Ross wasn't. Ask Dreshaun Atown. Air Force combat controllers ring a bell? The AF does not jump out of airplanes and then level villages. They level villages from the air without jumping out of them. Oh yeah, no nunchucks either. haha
One of the funniest comparisons to the branches of our military! Just an FYI, I was in the Army but respect all branches of the military and MOS's of those branches.Air Force combat controllers ring a bell?
They are the baddest of the bad (first in) and generally by themselves…think like Ross as a heavyweight.
They jump in first and “pave the way” and make it easy for guys like Green Berets…think like Mocco. Very elite, but really second fiddle in terms of badass.
I couldn’t imagine picking Mocco over Dreshaun. The upside to Dre seems to be much greater than Mocco. I guess, Mocco does have family ties to Iowa, that could be a reason. As far as I know, Dreshaun is a good kid and a phenom. I’ll take him all day long and a bag of chips.Lol you’re too touchy. As I alluded to, it’s what’s being implied that’s bs. I’m sure TnT have a superior eye over Cael and DT… or, maybe there’s more to it.
PSU is in the mix.Just wanted to compare the two timelines.
Mocco at PSU would take over after Mirasola which would mean redshirt 27. Backup 28/29. Olympic RS maybe 28? So 2-3 years as starter.
Mocco at Iowa would take over from Keuter in 29. So redshirt 27. Olympic shirt 28. 4 years as starter. Assumed Olympic shirt and did not assume grey shirt.
Mocco should be a 4 year starter after a RS year IMO. So I personally would be surprised with PSU and the risk of 2 year starter (probably 3 tho).
Not sure they’re in the mix, but Feldman at Ohio state is a sophomore so Mocco would RS then jump into the lineup without grey or Olympic shirts.
I’m aware. That’s why I did the comparison haha but unless Mirasola isn’t it (may not be), Mocco only gets 2-3 years as starter. Was my whole point.PSU is in the mix.
Mocco needs work on mat wrestling (what high schooler doesn't) but has the necessary pedigree and ingredients to shine. Only Cael and Casey know the future. Barr is a significant impediment at 197.I’m aware. That’s why I did the comparison haha but unless Mirasola isn’t it (may not be), Mocco only gets 2-3 years as starter. Was my whole point.
Speaking with people involved and with Ross's coaches and getting the facts isn't propaganda. I would've went after Ross over Mocco as well. Mocco does have a younger as well who's gonna be good maybe that was a factorLol you’re too touchy. I guess it depends on what each coach "values" in a wrestler. I like both Ross and Mocco. They each bring something to the table. I think Ross is a little ahead of Mocco at the moment but in 3 years, who knows.Speaking with people involved and with Ross's coaches and getting the facts isn't propaganda. How is his foot sweep?Mocco needs work on mat wrestling (what high schooler doesn't) but has the necessary pedigree and ingredients to shine. Only Cael and Casey know the future. Barr is a significant impediment at 197.
Agree with all of that. Mocco is a stud and OSU fans wanted him for his name if nothing else. None of the other arguments have anything to do with that.I guess it depends on what each coach "values" in a wrestler. I like both Ross and Mocco. They each bring something to the table. seems crazy not to give an offer to the in-state stud even if you prefer another guySpeaking with people involved and with Ross's coaches and getting the facts isn't propaganda. Things that make you go hmmmmseems crazy not to give an offer to the in-state stud even if you prefer another guy
I was running track at the table.. the finals was absolutely electric!!! Union hosted dual state and all us coaches had to work it. Some great duals over the weekend but without question that was the best. Stillwater went into 175 needing 3 straight pins to win. Bumped Petree to 175, Lockett to 190 and Teague to 215…. Pin, pin, and pin for dual state championship!!!
No way. Seriously? That’s amazingI was running track at the table.. the finals was absolutely electric!!! Union hosted dual state and all us coaches had to work it. Yeah it wa awesome to see first hand. Honestly thought when Jeter pinned Guerrero, Edmond north had it locked up. But Stillwater said “not so fast”No way. Seriously? That’s amazing
Is there anyway to watch these matches?Yeah it wa awesome to see first hand. Honestly thought when Jeter pinned Guerrero, Edmond north had it locked up. But Stillwater said “not so fast”
I’m sure they are on floIs there anyway to watch these matches?
Raney brothers you're recruiting but with Jax and Vega I'm not sure how that will effect them. Now that Bo, Jax and Ross are out of the way these are the currently uncommited top 10 from matsouts and flo. Anyone know if any of these guys have announced who their "finalists" are and if we are really "in" on any of them?
Matscouts
6: Jordyn Raney - Kentucky
7: Jayden Raney - Kentucky
8: Michael Mocco - Florida
Flo
5: Jordyn Raney - Kentucky
6: Jayden Raney - Kentucky
8: Domenic Munaretto - Illinois
9: Michale Mocco - Florida
It is pretty interesting how spread out the top 20 are to "non-traditional":
Flo:
4 - Va Tech
7- Illinois
11 - Lehigh
12 - Cornell
13- NC State
15 - Oklahoma
19 - Lehigh
Heck Princeton has picked up two top 52 guys.
With Ross commitment, move Mocco off the board for us. Merrill too. Raney twins I think fit well at Iowa personally but I’ve read multiple different opinions with them and someone said we aren’t out yet (not sure I see where they fit though). I haven’t heard anything on Munaretto. Maybe PSU. Waters I hope we are in on. I know he visited. I see him at 197, maybe can swing a year at 184. If it’s all 197, that means he sits behind Merrill for 1-2 years so not sure he would choose us because of that. If he can red shirt 27, Olympic shirt 28, 184 29 and then 3 years 197 maybe. Sounds far fetched though. I really like Waters though and would put him as the top of my own list for the remaining guys.if we are really "in" on any of them?
Munaretto not sure about Oklahoma St but I know Penn st , Ohio st and Illinois are on himWith Ross commitment, move Mocco off the board for us. Merrill too. Not 25 or 26, but pretty sure OK State is in on Villasenor. Unless he hits a growth spurt the next two years, he is looking like a 125'er for 4 years.Munaretto not sure about Oklahoma St but I know Penn st , Ohio st and Illinois are on him
I would think with Rin, Zinklin, and possibly Villasenor 27 we are ok.Munaretto not sure about Oklahoma St but I know Penn st , Ohio st and Illinois are on him
Sounds like Elam will portal this year. If Mirasola brothers were to leave Penn st I could see them at Mizzu with SinclairI would think with Rin, Zinklin, and possibly Villasenor 27 we are ok.
I know Waters also visited Mizz, VT, Lehigh to name a few. All those teams have seniors this year I’m sure but no clue what they have waiting.
Just checked
Elam (Mizz) - medical redshir this year so in need of someone for 27. Hard to come in as true freshman at 197 though IMO.
Sasso (VT) - will likely start 26-28 so would sit a year here after a RS year.
Beard (Lehigh) - graduated this year. Not sure who they would use 26/27 but I guess this leaves it open for Waters probably.
Walters (Mich) - will likely start 26-28 so would sit a year here after a RS
Shumate (Ohst) - starter 26/27 so perfect fit after a RS year.
Merrill (OSU) - starter 26/27/28/29. Unlikely fit IMO again unless he RS 27. Olympic shirt 28. 184 29 (depending on who we have there then) then 197 30/31/32. Woah crazy to think about a kid wrestling in 2032.
Obviously Olympic shirt also makes some of the other schools a better fit as well.
So just based off lineups and who I think he may have on his list Ohio st is a good fit at the moment.
