You're missibg the point entirely. It's not about believing everything a "rag like that" has to say. It's about undertanding that the rag in which you put so much condescension is believed and taken seriously by a huge portion of the world population, and we blow it off as "untrustowrthy propaganda" at our own peril. You cannot counter what you don't know, and if you refuse to take "that rag" seriously there are things you don't know that can come back to bite you in the backside.
