We saw Luke Surber beat the #1 guy in the Conference. It was no fluke. Then he turned around and got whooped by Sloan. Bastida could be the best sleeper pick for NC. That being said, it feels like, outside of Fix, no one is more determined or committed than Surber. What he might lack in talent he more than makes up for in grit. Like multiple other weights, things will have to go right/well to make the Finals. Just a year ago, this guy was making noise at 285. A Big 12 Title IS within the range of outcomes.

This weight mirrors 125 in that you have the top guy and everyone else. Doucet has quietly had a solid if not unspectacular season. He didn’t get the opportunity to square off with Schuyler. Feels like a weight were OSU has little to lose and everything to gain. If he finishes above any of the guys ranked ahead of him, it’s a good outcome. Go getcha some, KD!!

Interesting that some wrestlers rated below the top group seem to have some wins over listed wrestlers and will mess some things up. We have to wrestle better than our seeds.

All of our wrestlers have to do to make it to the NCAA (except Witcraft) is wrestle to seed. Witcraft must "mess some things up" or, as Smith said, "Steal a spot".
