NCAA PORTAL

If true, then I can't imagine Carroll got a ton of NIL. Maybe that was why it took so long to commit to ISU.
Soon as he entered the portal he was under “no contact”. He was already going to ISU with CP’s help. Idc who doesn’t like to hear it. Dude was calling kids and telling them to hit the portal. Idk exactly how many got that call but only CC followed thru. CP will be joining ISU next year or so.

If CC felt so strongly about Coleman Scott not getting hired, leaving is the best choice for him.. Given everything we know about the new coaches and the Penn State system, who is possibly going to join the RTC and coaching staff, the resources now available, etc, If a person still wants to leave they should go.. Chris Perry has his own way of doing things and if given everything above mentioned, if someone wants to follow him or go somewhere that isnt as intense, thats fine.. No disrespect to Chris Perry, while I appreciate everything he has done as both a wrestler and a coach, if he were as capable at this point as the current staff he would have gotten the head job or would have been retained OR would have been hired already by another program.. As it is, it seems like he is, at this point, a solid assistant coach and does well coaching certain kids. Im not disagreeing with you to be clear, just saying that in this circumstance, given the level of achievement of both programs, if Chris Perry were so good of a salemen that he can sell whatever he thinks he is going to be able to do at Iowa State vs. what everyone knows is about to happen here, that would make him the greatest motivational speaker and salemen the world has ever known OR he is talking to kids that he suspects arent going to be able to start here or kids he already has a good repore with.. until we got the new staff, Penn State had the edge over us in almost every area.. Now with the changes, we are in position to compete. Its a great time to be a Ok State fan.. Good luck to Chris Perry whereever he ends up and I hope Carrol wins every match and tournament that doesnt involve Ok State.

Odessa? Not my idea of a destination.
"Odessa is a port city on the Black Sea in southern Ukraine. It’s known for its beaches and 19th-century architecture, including the Odessa Opera and Ballet Theater."

Been there, its a wonderful place! Oh wait ... that was before the current war ... maybe nevermind. :(

Does that mean Iowa? I’m clueless
The new wrestling room will double the amount of training space and will allow Iowa's collegiate wrestlers and members of the Hawkeye Wrestling Club to train at the highest level. That space will be named in honor of Bob Nicolls (80BBA) and Kathy Nicolls, of Franktown, Colorado.

Bob Nicolls has been a passionate Iowa wrestling fan since his time as a student, and the couple are generous supporters of Iowa's track and field and wrestling teams, as well as the UI Department of Accounting. To honor the Nicolls' $7 million gift to the Carver Circle campaign, the wrestling room will be named in their honor.

"Bob Nicolls got this campaign started," says Brands. "He stepped up right away, brought others to the table, and never wavered in his commitment and drive to help us get this project done. He's been the lead volunteer on this project and a great friend to our program and me. We are honored to have the Nicolls' name on our wrestling room. It can't be anyone else. That's how important Bob Nicolls was to getting this campaign done."

Ol’ Bob has them in trouble huh
Last I checked, Dee Lockett is committed to OSU. Willie saying Iowa is "in the game" or something to that effect is a no go to me. Other examples too. Slumlord Bob is a loose cannon. I'd be scared to death if he was one of my primary donor. Have you ever seen his posts in the Cesspool? Unhinged comes to mind.

The donor posts in the cesspool?

That’s… interesting

This is a post from the PSU board regarding Bob (Iowa booster) illegally contacting wrestlers.

“Sounds like Lilledahl was a pivot for Slumlord Bob, after getting rejected by Matt Ramos (never in the portal) and Jore Volk (also never in the portal).

So far his illegal poaching attempts have been 100% rejected -- which is both appropriate and entertaining as hell.”

It was rumored that he contacted Dee as well. Let’s hope Dee stands as firm as the other guys.

I know this is definitely related to the discussion at hand, but I’m dying that we have a PSU v Iowa fan battle about is their coach/donor sleazy on an OSU site lmao.
I'm not part of that battle. My issue is poaching period, whether it's done by Michigan, Iowa, PSU, ISU, or OSU. I'm talking about the lowering of integrity across the board in everything, and when it's pointed out, it is met with indifference because the only important thing is the end and not the means.

Good video, let's you see another side of these guys and their personalities. If you got a hour watch.
