Daton Fix dec. Rudy Yates 5-3 and had the only two takedowns of the match. Yates was aggressive and also most had a takedown in the first but Fix countered it into a takedown of his own and in the third period he hit a beautiful shrug go behind for his second takedown.
At 145 Verkleeren dec. Bierdumpfel 3-2 in a good match. Mason Manville finally beat Hayden Hidlay in overtime with a takedown in overtime 3-1. He had had lost to Hidlay three times in a row. Nick Reenan really dominated Sammy Colbray at 195 5-1 with two pancake throws for takedowns and I really hope Tognetti's prediction comes through with Reenan who went up to 195 and dominated the #2 195 pounder. Gable Steveson hung on to dec. Jordan Wood 5-4 at 220#. In the match of the night and the final match Chad Red finally dec. Luke Pletcher in a second three minute overtime and if you watch it you will see incredible scrambles by both wrestlers.Pletcher was the definite aggressor and must have been in on Red's leg 7-8 times but red scrambled out of it many times until the final scramble where he got the takedown.
