When did Right leaners become pussified?

Come on man. You're smarter than this. I know you are. You are so defensive here that you aren't thinking straight.

I'm listening. No defensiveness. At all.

If you listen appropriately, the thinking often takes care of itself. Granted it helps to be well read which provides structure.

Your feign concern for my being "smarter than this" is unnecessary.

You spitting out multisyllabic words at random doesn’t help your case...it just shows how defensive and deflective you’ve been lol.

Which party do you think

1) Hitler
2) Today’s Nazis

Would vote for?

Lol...can’t wait for this BS response.

You didn't like my three answers that you requested and decided to try and come up with a fantasy situation deflection.

Maybe you like charities? Maybe you use charities. The Salvation Army serves more than 50 million meals each year. Does that help society?

Carry On

Lol

I can't wait to hear your BS response to why religious charities aren't good for society

Let me help you guys out a bit...

The Catholic Church, the worlds largest charitable organization, has invested treasury and blood to educate people in impoverished nations globally. The largely traditional/right leaning Church has advanced society in the process.

Telling that you got nothing on this topic...

Why is this 'societal progress' to you?

Dave already covered that...I gave 3 completely separate progressions. You can’t list anything besides religious charities? Oh yeah, “Nazi Germany”. I think we’ve already covered how that doesn’t play anymore - “fine people” and all.

What? Did you think I wasn't going to take advantage of this opportunity to define "societal progress?"
I'm just trying to get our working definition so I can participate. The dude that's insistent that someone provide examples of conservative led societal progress should be able to give the definition of what societal progress is.

I'll tell you something that you probably already know, you aren't a very clear writer (pot calling the kettle black I know, but it takes one to know one), but maybe you have a kernel of truth here. I'll help you workshop it. Lets start with defining some terms: Left/leftist, Progressives/Progressivism, the Right.

I'm aware. Weird wiring in my brain re: sentence structure. Also the pains of typing on a phone.

In a separate thread I'll take you up on standardizing of those definitions. For now, right of center is right of center. Progressives are a recent inflammation but with an old history, and traditional leftists is the Democratic party of power between JFK and Clinton.

WTF you wrote all of that on a phone?

Read...again...slowly.

Bill Clinton...raised taxes on the rich, among other measures = booming 90s economy, 4% annual growth, balanced budget resulted.
A balanced budget is societal progress? Raising taxes on the rich created an economic boom? Very interesting take. Did income and wealth inequality grow or shrink during this boom? Is a growing inequality societal progress?

Goddamnit

Fwiw,

I don't know the intricacies of how to measure future risk, but starting a few years back, probably in the last 2 years of the Obama Admin, I came around to what you're preaching regarding debt.

It's why I'd be alright with a trillion or 2 being dropped on a massive upgrade to school infrastructure nationwide with a smaller chunk thrown at infrastructure.

Anywhere where a dollar spent today yields greater than that down the road.

Just in time

If you didn’t have sh!t for brains you’d know that anyone involved with national security would tell you flat-out our debt is one of our biggest national security threats.
@CSCOTTOSUPOKES, can we get the definition of "societal progress?" Up until today I would have never considered cutting or raising taxes and a balanced budget "societal progress."

Rupert Murdoch on Thursday dismissed the idea that Fox News’s sexual harassment issues hurt the company, even though three of the most powerful men at the network were ousted amid such allegations.

“It’s all nonsense,” said Murdoch, executive co-chairman of 21st Century Fox. “. . . That was largely political because we are conservative.”

Well, since @CSCOTTOSUPOKES is being stingy and considers such things as tax increases and balanced budgets as societal progress, I'm gonna have to assume the working definition is just freeballing shit. So, here's my hot 3 societal "progressions" that I'm pretty sure can be attributed to conservatives:

Hillary wasn't elected as President
Tax cuts
SCJ Neil Gorsuch

You can’t claim tax cuts. For starters, you don’t know how Trump’s plan is actually going to work (inflation, risIng rates and all). And the tax cuts by previous republicans haven’t been successful.

But that's how he defines it.

I did claim tax cuts. In fact, if raising taxes is societal progress, cutting them is societal progress to the 10th power +1. So my list actually contains 13 things.
