I never claimed to be a classic liberal. You're the one hung up on that term somehow trying to hold that over other's heads. True, I favor property rights, individualism, and the rule of law. I think what this board has demonstrated to me is that mental midgets, try as they might, just have a compulsion to fit everybody in boxes. You're either on my team or not. My views have evolved and I do in fact have many traditional left wing views now.
For political purposes, I'm generally just choosing the lesser of 2 evils as I see it which is a sad state of our political discourse in this country. I sincerely hope that improves but I'm afraid it's going to get much much worse.
