Synagogue Shooting

Honestly, I think we are hiding our head in the sand if we don't admit that the country has changed significantly since Trump took office. Vitriol, division, and open hate, has increased exponentially. That may/may not have happened if Hillary had won the election. We will never know.

I, also, think we are hiding our head in the sand if we don't admit that tragedies like this were happening in this country before Trump ran for POTUS, so clearly, we can not foist all of the blame on him.

I'm sorry, but I remember there being marches with signs and chants calling for death to the police and such. Of which none was discouraged by the previous administration or D's.

What has Trump said to cause hateful acts of terror towards Jews?

Reading this thread, I think some people get blinded when Trump is inserted into the conversation. So let's remove Trump for bit.

Simple question AC: What type of political ideology did the alleged shooter embrace and promote?

It doesn't matter. Send him to the chair.

No it does matter. Don't try to back out of a conversation about this simply because you don't want to answer certain queations.

btw, this alleged shooter has due process rights. Therefore, before we send him anywhere, he is entitled to certain rights that can't be by-passed.

With that said, I'll ask again, what type of political ideology did the alleged shooter embrace and promote?

I'll say again, what does it matter.

And don't tell me how I'm supposed to answer a question idiot.

Motive. And understanding.

Plus, you ventured into this conversation with a political question, but now you want to back out? Let's have an honest conversation about this.

Again, what type of political ideology did the alleged shooter embrace and promote? And btw, I don't mean was he right-wing or left-wing. I am asking, what ideals and beliefs did he embrace and promote?

No it doesn't really matter.

What was the political ideology of the shooter who shot up a representative baseball practice?

Nutjobs will be nutjobs. Both sides have them and none will be preemptively stopped until they go over the edge.

Our law enforcement agency's can't track every lunatic that has plastered his van with stickers.

The most we can hope for is that our first responders are there quick enough or a brave armed citizen can take them out before they can inflict maximum damage.

No, we could also hope (and embrace) stricter gun control laws, better mental health treatment in this country, and a rejection of the use of hate/fear/division in politics.

If Trump is responsible for the fake bomber, then these two anti-semites are responsible for Pittsburgh.

Well, well, well. Whodathunk? MAGA strikes again, all hopped up in the same soros-caravan fantasized as most of you board conservatives.

We will see. I’m guessing the lefties jump on gun control pretty quick since the guy wasn’t a fan of Trump.

This aged well.

Hey there.

I condemn all violence, racism and religious extremism.

I support good food, family, football and fitness.

Have a good weekend.

Except the messaging and fuel for violence and racism that you energetically push on the daily. The murderer seems to be in lockstep with your messaging my friend.

You know the resident libs on this board smiled when they first heard the news.

Whereas you just got a little boner.

The left is filled with disgusting pieces of trash.

The right is filled with mass murdering, delusional, bomb mailing, kid shooting, Murrah bombing, church shooting, pacifists.

Such an event has been predicted all over the internet in recent days. And then it happened. You might want to wake up.

Well.... yeah. I've called it for years. Ocean's razor. GIGO. Born followers simply following the messaging. The fact it is before midterms is just another symptom of the delusion. Right wingers have created this.

the left has been voice of hate for decades.

Is Tim McVeigh a voice of hatred? Dylan roof? Cesar? The Fla MAGA school shooter? This guy with his Soros fixation?

Looks like the fake bomber has a fixation with mega donors to the Florida Democratic Party also. Here he is with Izzy Hernandez, mega Democrat Party donor. Kind of interesting, huh?

His ideology is mental illness. Just like all shooters/bombers/etc. Until we adress that problem AC is 100% right. His politics are irrelevant.

You guys (conservative posters on this forum) were not saying this about the guy who shot Scalise. Not one of you pushed this narrative.

Pretty sure I did. I don’t think I ever blamed Bernie either. I did notice the usual gun control enthusiasts were less enthusiastic about gun grabbing when this happened vs a school shooting. Also I’m not “conservative.” I’m for the Constitution.

I don't think that is who you seem to think it is. Some right wing conspiracy BS (unless I am mistaken).

This guy is Izzy Hernandez the Cuban soccer star.

This guy is Izzy Hernandez the Democratic activist.

I'm not sure your guy is either one of these guys, but I could be wrong. Either way, taking a pic with someone doesn't mean anything. Maybe he was scoping out his next target.

LOL. The deceiption comes at every turn. Yesterday @DildoShwaggins equated yelling in a restaurant with mailing a pipe bomb. This guy tried to pass off a soccer player as a democrat activist to generate a talking point to make his boy the MAGAbomber something else.

I'm dubious.

Come on. If you had to classify yourself as either a conservative or a liberal, which would you go with? Are you are registered Republican? Democrat? Independent?

Look it up. If I politicized it I’ll admit I’m wrong. I did say the inflammatory Russia stuff in the media fired that guy up. But I think we ALL live in an echo chamber at this point. It’s foolish to say these echo chambers don’t play their parts in anecdotal lunatic events. In a country of 300m people they are statistically irrelevant other than the fact that they all have mental illness in common.

I have labeled myself - many times. Libertarian is the closest thing but I did vote Trump and will again because of judicial appointments, economy and pissing off people I like to see pissed off (neocons and socialists).

In the 90’s I was considered a liberal when I voted for Bill Clinton because I didn’t like Bush’s new world order plan. I haven’t changed much if any, but what’s considered being a moderate sure has.

I’m certain I didn’t blame it on political rhetoric Been.

Turns out this idiot is a Nazi sympathizer and hated Trump also.

The real problem is that the media/liberals (again not all Democrats are liberal as not all Republicans are far right) got in so many free punches on both Bush’s, Romney, Regan and many others, that they thought Trump would roll over and “be presidential” like a newbie in a prison shower. He fights back and they hate him for it. I’ll admit he is ridiculous at times but in general & unlike his last 2 (maybe more) predecessors he is actually doing what he said he would.

I’m not privey to all the races on a local level, but liberals/some dems have for years pushed the mantra that Republicans want kill to your children, push old people off a cliff (remember well that commercial), hates minorities, are beholden to far right religious zealots and are the 1%ers. Yet I generally see one side that really wants to push race/identity as a political incentive to vote for them.

The media’s/libersls continued attempt to foster a belief that Trump is an illegitimate president is killing them. I personally wouldn’t mind seeing the the commentary stations masquerading as news continue to be castigated until there is no more commentary and they produce stuff that is news and applied equally to every corner of the political cesspool.

Politics will never tone down until the media stops its blantant one sided effort to beat up Trump (or they beat up liberals for the same offenses) and conservatives/TeamR and the spigot on campaign financing is shut off by about 95%. Nor will some people ever open their eyes/mind enough to see they support their party doing things that they turn around and bemoan the other party for doing the same dam thing.

The guy that shot those people in a house of worship is a disgusting, useless pile of excrement and when he is convicted he deserves the death penalty.

Just to clarify, I liked wind’s post so that he would know I read it. I don’t agree with all of it. Some I strongly disagree with. Too burnt out on this crap to break it down ATM. Just wanted to get that out there before I ran afoul of the “like” police.

Media can beat up on people, but

1. They need more balance
2. Scale back misrepresentation by omission or narrative framing.

Of course they weren't. Then, political ideology matter. Now, it doesn't. Their hypocrisy continues to be exposed.

I agree with @MegaPoke that we need mental health reform. However, that isn't the only issue at play here. From what we know at this point, the alleged shooter clearly had a political ideology that influenced his decision making. All one has to do is read his last social medial post before the shooting to see this.

Yet, those on the right don't want to have a reasonable conversation about this. Instead, they want to deflect, engage in absurd attacks on the left, and/or create conspiracies to hide behind.

Progressive assignment of intent by grouplink.

It's fatal flaw.

It's called "guilt by association" and it's an evolutionary, successful, employment of very basic common sense, all other things being equal.

I will be more than glad to answer your question when you answer the one I've been asking of you since yesterday. Your deflection and dodging is comical AC. It is isn't a hard queation but apparently the answer is too hard for you to post.

Again, for the fifth time now...

What type of political ideology (ideals and beliefs) did the alleged shooter embrace and promote?

Speaking of deflection and dodging ...

You made the accusation about leaders first. Answer the question and then I'll respond to yours.

lol, you just can't answer the question can you? Is it that hard for you to admit?

I was speaking of any leader . . . ANY . . . who uses and appeals to hate/division for political purposes. Trump is clearly one who does this. Trump is not alone though, he is just the most visible at the moment.

Now . . . I will ask you for the sixth time . . . what type of political ideology (ideals and beliefs) did the alleged shooter embrace and promote?
