All I saw was that Fix, Boo and Whitlake are our No. 1 seeds. ISU all had three No. 1s Carr, Parker, Grimmel.

I heard Johnny Thompson had a bit of eligibility left and he is weighing in at 141!!
If everyone was healthy, that’s a pretty good team
It would be nice if we sent someone there. Whether its one match or not 3 points is 3 points.
I asked about Gfeller dropping to 141 a few weeks ago. Someone posted that he's believed to be out with a season ending injury. 141 is cursed this year.

Interesting that Witcraft will be a starter two years in a row for the Cowboys at the Big 12 and never at his best weight. You gotta love the effort.
If he goes My hope is that he has some energy.
If he’s healthy and his mind is right, it seems like a far better option than running Witcraft out there.

When I posted that I knew he was going. I got the info last night and yes he was banged up
I heard rumblings at the OU duel . Hopefully since he has had several weeks the weight cut won’t hurt him to bad.
I wonder with him wrestling the extra matches if he got 4 matches. If not it may be the only way he can go to Nationals is if he wins the conference. He is not going to win conference because there are 2 highly ranked wrestlers at 141 but then there is a real falloff in talent. In other words he could take third if he has some of his old self to give this weekend. He could then qualify for Nationals. It would be great to see G start a comeback at Big 12's. But who knows?

So looks like 3 at 149 and 2 at 157, none at 141. That could be a problem. He needs a pigtail match &/or not get 2nd.
I believe Harley is right, G needs to either win Big12s or pick up 4 matches and finish top 4.
Someone asked that exact question about G in one of the replies to Willie's tweet & he answered.

Seems to me he could take 3rd or 4th and qualify if 141 Big 12 has 4 qualifiers, unless someone forfeits to him? Without a pigtail match 2nd place would be bad for him. Whatever happens I hope that this turns out good and he builds some confidence.
Looking through Willie's explanation, it says nothing about 4 matches at a certain weight. Anybody know if he needs 4 matches total or 4 matches at a certain weight to qualify?
Yep. Basically win outright or finish 2nd/3rd/4th while getting at least 4 matches. He should get the pigtail and be OK.
If you look at the replies, someone asks Willie if the weight matters for G and Willie says yes.
