Biden is done in if he makes the general.
Doing away with fossil fuels.

Booker: Republicans and Russians actively suppress blacks voters.

Tulsi saying she'd roll back tariffs. Don't signal your position Tulsi.

Biden would renegotiate Trans Pacific. Probably his best answer. Definitely his best answer.

Im convinced Bennett was allowed onstage to make some of the others have a personality.

Apparently Harris wants to fine companies that dont close their wage gap. CNN said 80 cents earned compared to $1 for men.

She's had very little go right tonight. It'll be interesting to see how the "pundits" respond and call her out on her crappy performance.

I'll reiterate that even if she won the nomination, that nasally voice will turn off just enough that she'd never win.

Ouch.

Look at Tulsi, she's magnificent. Why did she flake out? Why?

I wish I watched last night’s debate to be able to compare.

Bennett is Al Gore. I don’t care about personality or appearance, but he was tough to stay with. He mad some good points.
Tulsi was interesting. Did great at times, then flopped a few times.
Gillibrande comes off as a dumb/ditzy blonde.
Booker, IMO, could have done better had he sold himself rather than turn everything into Trump-this. I think he made a grand total of one solid point.
Harris flopped. The only good points she made sounded whiny. Her record will bring her down.
Biden held up better than I thought, but he was hit well by some unlikely sources. His history is catching up with him.
De Blasio is the sleeve bag I always thought he was, but he was more effective in his attacks than he was about building himself up.
Yang, I am just not sure how to take him.
Inslee and the other were forgettable.

Lots of unrealistic promises, lots of hyperbole, little substance. IMO this is down to Biden and Warren, the rest are just placeholders. I would like to see more of Tulsi in Congress before president.

IMO, this debate, Tulsi and Booker probably gained the most.

Final Thoughts:

Biden - survived another night with attacks coming from all over, thought he handled Kamala well. Still think he needs more fire

Kamala - Not a good night for her. She wants to tout her record as AG as a great thing and her record was set on fire tonight by Tulsi and the healthcare conversation was a big flop when they focused on her new proposal. Also she came off as a major b*tch

Tulsi - Cool, calm, collected and is the most reasonable on world issues than the rest of the pool of candidates

Bennet - More business focused and reasonable but he's too moderate

de Blasio - He's just an asshole and doesn't really add anything to the conversations

Gillibrand - She thinks she can beat Trump because she's already done it, she's out of her mind and shouldn't even be in this race

Castro - Charismatic, smooth talking, likeable, way too radical to win a general election

Booker - He had those crazy eyes out too much, preached too much about bringing America together but focused on Trump with hatred and racism.

Inslee - Climate change is going to kill us all, that's pretty much it

Yang - Interesting take on the $1,000/month for all. Business man that needs more airtime. I hope he can get to the next debate because he doesn't get a fair shot IMO

I'm convinced, those that support Gillibrand should be in a group home, I'm generally concerned about them and want them to get help asap

Gillibrand came across as the person on a conference call that doesn't pay attention (or isnt prepared) and then seems surprised and flustered when she gets called on. Three times she started a response with a 2 second pause followed by 'uh...'

Easily the biggest loser on tonight's stage imo.

My immediate takes:

Biden was better than debate 1, but is fighting hard to be seen as Obama 2.0, but that's tough given he's a 75 year old, white guy who's been in Washington for nearly 50 years. And everything that wasn't perfect or ideal for Obama is getting laid at Biden's feet.

Inslee (The Washington guy) and Yang stuck to their messages and came across strong, but both are probably too minor to make a real impact.

Gabbard was really good until her final comments, where she added the line "to help me make the 3rd debate stage". That was a major acknowledgement that she's not running for president. She's running to just stay in the race.

Bennett was fine but nothing that's gonna move the needle.

Castro presented well, but I have a hard time thinking his message is seen as electable. He has the most extreme immigration stances of the candidates and wears that as his primary issue.

Booker did his best to stay out of the mud. I imagine that will play well in the media, but not sure it helps him to establish his own brand.

Harris wasn't as good as debate one and was mostly forgettable, but didn't make any major gaffes that should have her surrending ground.

Deblasio almost came across as a plant for Biden to lob softballs his way to give him extra talking time.

And I started with Gillibrand, who I have as the biggest losers of the night.

In the end, I think Biden gets pulled a little closer to the pack, and maybe a couple of the 1%ers such as Yang and Inslee will move up to the Buttigieg or Booker levels.

I disagree on the gaffes, I think she definitely goes down in some polls. She was hit on Healthcare Plan and her record as AG.

I don't disagree with really anything else. I think Yang and Gabbard are heading towards VP candidate choices. Inslee is a one issue guy with not a lot of national appeal. Gillibrand sucks and de Blasio is a dick and he's hated in his own city, not electable.

I can see that. I missed 5 minutes of the debate and apparently missed the Gabi attack. Having seen it in the 'post-game', I agree. I don't think its a killing blow, but you are right that Kam will take a hit. Completely agree in regards to Gabbard as a VP. Not sure about Yang. Seems strange to go from CEO to VP, and he comes across as being completely different (and less politiciany if thats a word) and not just a VP candidate. He's kind of the "Ross Perot" candidate in that he just doesn't overlap his message enough with any of the other candidates to be a good pairing. I think Castro is setting up for a VP slot though. He'd be a good fit for one of the 'further left' candidates.
