Of course there are, but I see elements of fascism from all authoritarian types who can't stand people that disagree with them. And I see fascism from the extreme right. The problem now is the 'extreme' left is larger than the right.
But, that doesn't make Hitler, who believed in anything but a classless society, who believed in a hierarchy of races and privatized industry out of the Weimar Republic a leftist.
Show me examples of fascism from the right in America.

Leftist dream: Let’s have a government retirement system for all. It’ll be great!
Reality: We are forced to contribute to a crap government retirement system or our money will be confiscated along with additional fines and/or time in prison.
Leftist dream: Let’s have a government health insurance program for all. It’ll save a bunch of money and it’ll be great!
Reality: Prices increase dramatically, forced participation through financial penalty seized through IRS.
Leftist dream: Let’s have a health care system for old people. It’ll be great!
Reality: it’s going broke, better have a supplemental policy or you’ll be sorry, and if you don’t contribute willingly it’s called tax evasion and they have a prison cell for you.
Conclusion: Leftist policies have good intentions but you will be crushed if you don’t want to play, even though better options are available. Sounds authoritarian to me.

These were not blanket laws meant to affect all equally, but rather to speed up the process of removing the undesirables and leaving the desirables behind, be that economically or physically?
As far as departments being nationalized, more or less so than Weimar Germany? Bismarck and Germany had already adopted socialist policies as ways to diminish socialist party rhetoric. When Hitler took over in '33, and was establishing his government, how else do you consolidate power for a fledgling government than providing benefits coming out of WWI and the Great Depression?
Plus, he was building a colossal, mindbogglingly vicious war machine, to prepare for inevitable race war. You have to control education and transportation, he was trying to mold a society full of perfect, unquestioning Aryans to rule the world, which is certainly a fascist notion.

These are authoritarian policies, no doubt, the difference is in the details. Hitler wasn't trying to create a classless, raceless, religionless 'utopia' like so many leftists. He wanted essentially a caste system with he and his brethren at the top.

Okay so I just watched the 20 min portion where Phillips comes in of the almost 2 hour video from the Black Israelites. How anyone can believe he innocent in this is beyond me. The students and BI were going back and forth much like Preacher Bob would do w students. They are obviously there to get a rise out of people by saying ridiculous crap. The students acted, as I almost certainly would have, immaturely and decided to play along w their game. (This is where the chaperones should have stepped in and said let’s just move along.) That said, there was NEVER a moment where it felt out of control, or even close. Even the BI knew what was happening, as I’m sure they get this reaction a lot. There was always a gap between the groups. No one directly interacted until Phillips shows up and decides to walk straight into the middle of the group. This would have been a non-event until that moment. How he became the victim is crazy. He never should have gone into the group of students. The fact this didn’t escalate to anything physical is a testament to the kids, honestly.
