That's it?

That's actually pretty funny.

I can still remember the good ol' days when journalists and Democrats were for bringing information to the people.
They still are. These days it's just in the form of what you should be offended by and other useless bullshit.

Dems: "That's all? What a waste of time. You Pubs are all sheep. You bought into the narrative."
Pubs: "You Libs are all sheep. It is so clear that this is a witch hunt. You bought into the narrative."

And the divide between the two grows and grows.

The result is that politics is becoming so tribal, that the House and Senate can't function in a bipartisan manner going forward, and is basically unable to get anything of substance accomplished.

None of this is good for the future of this country.

serious question - how do you at this point not believe that is exactly what happened?

Carter Page surveillance renewal was approved by 4 different FISA judges. You’re telling me you think a dossier of opposition research was the ONLY evidence to bring forth probable cause?

Do you believe in unicorns too? Lol.

Carry on.

The divisiveness started with the last administration. Anyone can see that.

potato, are you actually suggesting the dossier was immaterial in that process? unicorns are more likely than carter page being a credible russian spy.

not everything that is uncomfortable is bad for you (or the country).

Your "theory" requires complicity of such a broad and deep cabal it is farcical. How many judges? How many DOJ and FBI officials? You are talking dozens if not 100+ coconspirators to pull this off, not once but at least 4 times. Occams razor....

A). That's stupid.

B). It doesn't matter where it "started". This country is ****ed. Neither side is going to "win", and tribalism is just going to get worse.

i agree that it seems that way at first. and that's exactly why it has to be exposed in stages, of which the memo was simply the first.

i don't know but time will tell.

possibly, yes.

Occams razor....

exactly.

You're naïve. Turning a blind eye to what Obama did just shows you are fulltilt left.

Whatevs.

I'm not going to get into a tribal debate with you when I am trying to make the point that extreme tribalism is a problem.
Sure it is, I agree 100%, anybody full left or full right is wrong. Honestly, I don't see Democrats wanting to budge one bit on anything to work in a bipartisan manner. It's either their way or the highway. They're 100% focused on character assasination of Trump and nothing else.

Who do you think is largely to blame for the ever-growing divide?

Well unicorns are more plentiful than FISA court denials.

Why would FISA deny surveillance of a man known to be tied extensively to Russia? It was even given the thumbs up by Trump appointee Rosenstein. Lol. Unreal the conspiracy theories you drink up...like the rest of the conservatives on this board haha.

Carry on.

No conspiracy theory. Just trying to enlighten you about how the FISA court actually works since you clearly have no idea

Don't be lazy. Do a bit of work. You say you are impartial, show it...

It really heated up during the Iran-Contra hearings to the Bork confirmation hearings to the Thomas confirmation hearings to the Clinton impeachment hearings.

Gets a little worse each new administration.

Then when you have a couple of tone-deaf leaders like Obama and Trump -- BOOM!

(But politics in DC has always been pretty dirty business. Washington's administration was plagued by infighting and division and John Adams was quietly stabbed in the back by a man he thought to be a close friend -- Thomas Jefferson.)
