Even more head scratching considering the number of medical doctors that are "R's" in congress and know dam well it has legitimate uses. Notice also that since nearly all this stuff comes from china to mexico and then the US there is absolutely no talk of taking the fight to the source, nope we have to try to scare everyone via the moral police media. Once people realize that "R's" and "D's" are just opposite sides of the same coin with one of those sides given endangered species status by the wholly corrupt media then life is good.

Right now and with so many things obviously wrong, they focus on this. And why? Well because they are mostly spineless babies. One need to look no further then the redistricting battle in states to understand most RINO's have no idea how to play their hands. With majority R's in legislatures they should stick these maps straight up the liberals asses and make them enjoy it. No freakin compromise, no give and no quarter. Squeak, you are right on, they are trying to gin up more publicity on this because it tertiarily equates to another liberal failure at the border, but on the backs of victims. Sound like a familiar tactic?

I definitely get where they think they're coming from, but this is not the answer to the opiate "crisis." Making pseudoephedrine nearly impossible to get did nothing to get rid of meth. That simply caused the supply side to be filled by cartels in Mexico where they're nearly unreachable and our streets are now inundated with cheap high purity meth. The old pseudo cooks didn't produce anything like we're seeing now.
