You seem to have a thing for telling other posters to be careful with their line of thinking. Is there some unstable person on this board we should be concerned with?
Stop following me around Chester and trying too hard lol.

Wimp
FYI - subpoena doesn't mean arrest or charge with a crime if that is what you're suggesting; it is a tool for gathering evidence
I was supposed to be careful thinking you weren't an attorney. You're still not one. What else should we be careful about thinking?Stop following me around Chester and trying too hard lol.
I was supposed to be careful thinking you weren't an attorney.
The sheer number of big money donors and Wall Street people (remember how he went after Hillary for Goldman Sachs) in his Cabinet and administration is a good start.
His own past history in the business world is also at least part of my basis. He has never struck me as particularly ethical or above board.
Again, I'm not saying he's WORSE than any of the others....he's just more of the same.
Meet the new boss.
Sameas the old boss.
Probably my inherent extreme cynicism also plays into it.
Just keeping it real when you don't. Hate the game, not the player. What I find hilarious is your obsession with who I am and what I do.
Just keeping it real when you don't.
that to me is a cop out
people with access to that information know the rules more specifically the law
put a few in the pen and you make a statement
shoot those wielding the pen is dangerous to democracy

Refusal to comply with a subpoena is subject to criminal sanction.
When you start "gathering evidence" about sources from the press, you have to consider the 1st Amendment implications. I have no problem with going after leakers that are violating the law. I do have a problem with going after the press in anyway for exposing things the authorities would like to keep secret.
fyi
subpoena is a tool for bullying
the man uses it as a threat all the time
I've not been dishonest with you once about who I am (you've never asked). You have just been eager to make assumptions and by doing so, failed to keep it "real."
Perhaps if you would just ask me what I do and who I am, instead of making silly assumptions, you would be able to keep it real.
Where do you fall on Snowden?
You're reaching farther than I was. There is a huge difference in subpoenaing an email record from a newspaper to learn who sent it and throwing a reporter in jail.
If I wasn't going to be charged with anything, I don't see a basis for feeling threatened or bullied.
YES! It seems that our government as a whole seems to have forgotten that what they do is subject to public inspection, for the most part.I do have a problem with going after the press in any way for exposing things the authorities would like to keep secret
What do you do and who are you? Are you, in fact, an attorney or not....practicing or not. Do you have a J.D. Degree?
Have you ever posted here (as in the entire OSU rivals board...not just this one) under any other screen name?
YES! It seems that our government as a whole seems to have forgotten that what they do is subject to public inspection, for the most part.
I think he was both a patriot and a criminal. Patriotism and love for your country doesn't always mean blind adherence to the law. It also doesn't mean immunity from prosecution when you decide to violate the law.
That is a sincere and serious answer...not being flippant at all.
You've implied more than once that you were an attorney. You were specifically asked by JD in a previous thread if you were an attorney and didn't bother to answer.I've not been dishonest with you once about who I am (you've never asked). You have just been eager to make assumptions and by doing so, failed to keep it "real."

In some ways, yes. But the media has done their own credibility no favors. Just as I expect the media to have free reign on our government, I also expect factual reporting. When the reporting is bullshit, I have no problem with them being called on it by Trump or anyone.Don't you think that Trump's "Fake News" crusade is directed at undermining the press' ability to inspect/reveal what the government is actually doing?
Currently, I work as a paid intern for a United States District Court Judge. No, I am not an attorney yet. In a week and a half, I will be starting my third year of law school. Previously, I worked in the ministry . I also have two post-graduate degrees in theology (a MDiv and a ThM).
I am also married with four children.
Nope. I am not the toon character medic keeps referencing.
I discovered this board after visiting the site for the first time, I believe, back in December sometime. I am not even an Oklahoma State fan nor do I live in Oklahoma.
I just enjoy discussing politics and this appears to be a lively and entertaining board in that regard.
Do you believe Snowden did what he did for patriotic reasons or do you believe he was working with another government?
You've implied more than once that you were an attorney.
But don't be shocked when someone calls you out for implying you possess the same knowledge and expertise as a long time career attorney when it's obvious to the casual observer that you don't.
Don't you think that Trump's "Fake News" crusade is directed at undermining the press' ability to inspect/reveal what the government is actually doing?
No, what I did was post that you shouldn't be making assumptions about me when you haven't even bother to ask me what I do.
Look, I understand you are a big cheerleader for JD, but I have yet to see any post by JD on this board that reflects knowledge that many people couldn't have...including non-attorneys. That is not a slight towards JD btw...he appears to be an intelligent person.
As you say you have no connection to OSU or even live in Oklahoma, I am curious as to what District Court you intern in... or at least which circuit...wouldn't presume to ask for a disclosure of which judge.
As for toon, you have some posting quirks and a style that are nearly verbatim of him and his posts. That and some other stuff leads to the suspicion that you are a sock account, I'm sure.
Sorry, but I'm gonging this bullshit. No, what I did was post that you shouldn't be making assumptions about me when you haven't even bother to ask me what I do.

you don't think the press brought that on themselves?
I am not comfortable sharing that information on a public message board, as I am sure you know why. I express my political views on this board, and I in know way want my views or comments on this board to somehow reflect back on the judge I work for.
Suffice to say, I am not from Oklahoma.
Hence the reasons one shouldn't assume (which I too can be guilty of btw).
Over plenty of shit over the years too, spanning more than one forum. I like you, but I don't love you. He's not that big a cheerleader for me. We have gone at it hammer and tong on opposite sides more than once.
You'd like me to quit pointing out the obvious, but I won't when it's obviously obvious. Too bad rookie.I agree. So stop being one.
that's being naive

Or region of the country generally?
in my best brian williams voice

Pretty soon, we will all just have to accept that we can't trust politicians and we can't trust the media. We will be left with only our own confirmation bias to allow us to decide what is really happening and whether or not it is good for us.
