How concerned are you about man made climate change?
How concerned are you about man made climate change?
In Oklahoma we have had mild summers for about a decade now. 2011 and 2012 were brutal.I'm concerned about climate change...I just don't think it's man made. The earth has undergone major changes over its history with very little population.
Lol…If that’s true then you better be doing something more than just driving a Tesla. With 1 being least and 10 being most concerned......I am a 10
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣With 1 being least and 10 being most concerned......I am a 10
Can someone that is concerned find me a study that includes the f’n suns output?

How come no one besides @davidallen knows how to Google?
So what are YOU doing about it, besides voting for candidates who promise to give other people's money to their friends to solve it?With 1 being least and 10 being most concerned......I am a 10
Are you really quoting a 30 year old research paper that basically says we lack the instrumentation to measure solar variance and thus consider solar output a constant? You might learn to read your own links for comprehension before you start telling others to "learn to Google".2 SOLAR VARIATIONS AND CLIMATE CHANGE | Solar Influences on Global Change | The National Academies Press

Hmm it's almost as if people have known about solar variance for at least 30 years. It's not some forbidden knowledge that only alpha woke is privy to.Are you really quoting a 30 year old research paper that basically says we lack the instrumentation to measure solar variance and thus consider solar output a constant? At least Nasa doesn't call it a constant and even highlights that they don't know what the sun may do in the future, references Europe's "little Ice age" of the 16th century which was caused by a solar activity reduction. They also note that their measures for global warming had the solar activity attributing for 25% of the temperature increase over the past decade. Also worth noting that the article highlights that 2012 was the last solar maximum, and based on the 11 year cycle, that would make 2023 also a predicted solar maximum.
One could argue that for mankind as a whole, global warming is a good thing. Global warming doesn't make our planet uninhabitable. It does the opposite. It makes it more habitable, as Canada, Russia, Greenland, etc. would all become habitable land masses. Something they frankly aren't now. And if you get to 15 or 20 billion people in the world, which is probably only 100 years away, you'll need more temperate climates. Yes, coastal cities may flood (although I wonder about this as water has less volume/mass as a liquid than as a solid), but the gain in total habitable land would more than offset the loss of some coastal lands. So global warming isn't a threat to the species' survival, but rather a threat to the coastal elites who buy multi-million dollar beach homes in Martha's Vineyard.Zero. The “climate change” issue is an economic issue first and foremost. Green energy has no hope of “solving” this problem unless countries like China and India want their standard of living to decline substantially by using currently expensive green energy and forego cheap coal.
So, some of the world’s population including here in the US will need to decide when this earth ends, do you want to die miserable and in poverty, or out poverty and thankful for the life you had.
Mankind can not stop this earth from burning up if that is its destiny. Just like mankind can’t cure cancer, stop a virus, and million other things. If mankind ceases because of what it has done? The whole cycle probably starts over. Earth heals, and millions of years later you have an intelligent man walking the earth again.
Nature will run its course. God will, will be done.
And that .1 made up 25% of the decade's climate increase. Per the same article. But that's not what your article said. It said that solar was a 'constant' which is flat wrong.Hmm it's almost as if people have known about solar variance for at least 30 years. It's not some forbidden knowledge that only alpha woke is privy to.
From your link: "The fluctuations in the solar cycle impacts Earth's global temperature by about 0.1 degree Celsius, slightly hotter during solar maximum and cooler during solar minimum,"
I am not worried at all. The brain trust around here assures me this all a money grab and that actually climate is always changing and if we all have to die at least we aren't poor.Pilt is a 10. It’s so bad in his mind that all the commie can do is laugh.

Or we can just decarbonize the economy, which is far more convenient for us cis-heterosHope all these dims don’t run their A/C, ride a bike everywhere, never ride a plane, plant and raise their own food by hand and are vegans. And oh yeah, don’t fart like all those cows AOC is worried about.
Most of all don’t reproduce to increase carbon footprint. Male/Male and Female/Female marriage should be required to stop all reproduction. And abortion should mandatory. They want to be at a net 50M less humans on earth per year by 2030. Would love for Dims to de-populate themselves, and probably are down that path already.
They plan to pay people to be euthanized at age 65 with the funds being distributed as you like, preferably to BLM, do that and they will pay double.
My mistake. I said decade and they meant century. But somehow you're the one who looks like the fool who can't read. Please read better.
Or we could all leave the city and buy ocean front property like the Obamas.Or we can just decarbonize the economy, which is far more convenient for us cis-heteros
Ain’t happening in your lifetime on a global scale which is what is needed. Green energy is a LONG ways off in China and India on an economic scale that allows their standard of living to increase as fast as they want. You can’t prove otherwise unless we have a technological miracle.Or we can just decarbonize the economy, which is far more convenient for us cis-heteros
Not that. The part where the authors you claimed were using the term "solar constant" when in fact they were disparaging the term.My mistake. I said decade and they meant century. But somehow you're the one who looks like the fool who can't read.
Over the past century, Earth's average temperature has increased by approximately 0.6 degrees Celsius (1.1 degrees Fahrenheit). Solar heating accounts for about 0.15 C, or 25 percent, of this change, according to computer modeling results published by NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies researcher David Rind in 2004.
Probably not your lifespan, but definitely mine. We have had a decade of technological miracles since you last checked.Ain’t happening in your lifetime on a global scale which is what is needed. Green energy is a LONG ways off in China and India on an economic scale that allows their standard of living to increase as fast as they want. You can’t prove otherwise unless we have a technological miracle.
As opposed to your end zone dance over .6C? Lol.Not that. The part where the authors you claimed were using the term "solar constant" when in fact they were disparaging the term.
"Nevertheless, until recently there has been no proof that variations in the Sun's output do in fact occur (as evidenced by the term solar "constant", which is still in widespread use)."
But by all means please do your end zone dance over .15C of warming due to solar variance.
In the intervening time it has increased another 0.2C to 0.8C and shows no sign of slowing down.As opposed to your end zone dance over .6C? Lol.
Like I said, please read better. That said, its weird that we read the same line two different ways. Where do you see them disparage the term? I read it as that there had been multitudes of studies that showed that while there was solar variation, that it was negligible and thus considered a 'constant' in the scientific community. Which is patently wrong, as 25% influence is way more than a negligible constant.
Only debunkable by those that can't readBut lets own the real truth. You're butt-hurt because you got called out for posting a 30 year old research that was debunkable in 1 simple Google search.
Direct measure of irradiance started in 1978. We don't know everything about the sun and how it affects the climate but we've somehow figured out with absolute certainty that the earth will end in [checks notes] less than 8 years because of cars and cow farts. Isn't science awesome? As opposed to your end zone dance over .6C? Lol.
