Speaking of Ferraris sticking together. Thought the AJ bridge had been burned, but Willie doesn’t usually say things that he’s not confident about
This is a message board, a large portion of the words typed here are wishful thinking.Angelo is not leaving Iowa and he has never indicated it’s an option. And, for the very very small chance he did then, be prepared to take his brothers with him. He is in a very good place and it’s all wishful thinking .
Gabe also certed at 174 and then decided to stay at 184. Cutting down and not winning the spot and going back up was something he didn't want to do obviously. I think we see him at 79kg (174) this summer for freestyleThis is a message board, a large portion of the words typed here are wishful thinking.
I think the optics of Arnold being at his weight create this discussion, but I am with you. I don't think he goes anywhere.
Only the sith deal in absolutes.Angelo is not leaving Iowa
Do they bring Anthony over too?

Negative.Do they bring Anthony over too?
He actually wrestles tonight he has a tough one Mosher from Hofstra is ok he's 11-8 and has a win against #17 Mayfield NW . And Anthony isn't a big 165 by any meansDo they bring Anthony over too?
🤞Do they bring Anthony over too?
Sounds like someone is hitting the Budweiser today . I sense some deleted tweets 🤣

I think Dee is a difference maker possibly winning multiple National Championships. Most wrestlers you can replace as our recruiting grows but Lockett is rare and so you do not want to waste a year of his eligibility with no chance for the team to do well.I think it comes down to what the rest of the team looks like. With a roster like Harley put together with no transfers Dee should absolutely redshirt. If we get a couple hammers at the weights I mentioned but have 165 open I think he wrestles.
We have a better chance of seeing AJ at ISU then we do at Iowa 😉Only the sith deal in absolutes.
But ya no one was thinking it’s happening. Just a what if message board scenario.
This guy knows his sh!t lolScanning through recent comments, I'll give my 2 cents on a few things.....
We dont want Gabe Arnold.... probably a good kid bit Ive heard theres some real mental/ emotional issues there.
We won't get him I'm thinking but Angelo Ferrari will be a 4x finalist and if we did have a shot we should go all in. Could you imagine a lineup that goes Dee, Angelo, Cody, Dreshaun?
Carter will be back next year. As far as line up? I think Carter needs to go 141. He'd be stronger there and let Tagen go 149. Carter isnt pulling much at all. As far as Cael, Ive been told repeatedly he has less of a weight cut then Tagen, but just doesnt want to cut weight. Problem is, he needs to get stronger also if he were to think about 141. So we will just have to see how it all plays out.
Theres been debate about whether DT will go to the portal much and I can tell you still that if the the NIL money is there he absolutely will. Who or what weights he goes after we can make solid educated guesses. But we have to remember, he's David MF Taylor! There will be guys willing to leave their current program to wrestle for him that would otherwise just stay where theyre at. So we may see a stud or two come in that we had no clue was in the picture just because of that or someone come in at a weight we thought was pretty solid already.
Agreed. A RS year and there is just no telling what kind of a monster he becomes.I think Dee is a difference maker possibly winning multiple National Championships. Dee doesn't need a RS. He ready. This guy knows his sh!t lol

My opinion is if he can be 165 go right away. If he's wanting to go 174 maybe RS himDee doesn't need a RS. He ready.

That kid has spent more hours in an RTC than any kid ever, in the history of RTCs. He's more than ready. Even if it is at 174.
But I do agree he's ready to win and challenge at 165. Only guy with the athleticism to challenge Mesenbrink.
And that's exactly why he's a 165 and not a 174. If you don't RS a talent like him you gotta feel confident he can win a title in year 1. My opinion is he would be giving up some size at 174 and using a RS would probably make more sense if he thinks he's a 174Lockett is going to make a run at the Senior World team. 74 is an absolute wasteland now.
Love Lockett. No one I enjoy watching more, but if he is going to compete with Mesenbrink, he'll have to vastly improve his conditioning. That kid has spent more hours in an RTC than any kid ever, in the history of RTCs. He's more than ready. Even if it is at 174.

You don't have to run a mile to make 100 feet.Love Lockett. No one I enjoy watching more, but if he is going to compete with Mesenbrink, he'll have to vastly improve his conditioning.
Dee isn't a big pinner. Now I might've believed your joke had you said tech his way thruYou don't have to run a mile to make 100 feet.
He pins his way through the season never getting to the 3rd period.
That's like running 2 miles...Dee isn't a big pinner. Now I might've believed your joke had you said tech his way thru
I am just a big fan of RS'ing guys anyway. That one year of brain power supersedes almost any level of horsepower, but the horsepower almost always improves also.Imo get transfers to let guys RS. In two years you have Dee, Robideau, Vega, Ramirez, Routledge, Jax and Ross with 4 years eligibility. I’m sure we will get another stud or two either straight up recruiting or flips. Skys the limit. Those guys will be the base for the DT era. You will also still have Spratley and Jamison to help lead the way. Merrill will have 3 years eligibility.
I can almost taste it 😎

100% agree. Similar role as Bo, Dee is our recruiter. He’s not as active on social media, he may not even know he fills that role, but he’s our man, and we need him front and center.I think Dee is a difference maker possibly winning multiple National Championships. I don't know if we will ever beat Penn. St. but we can't win next year and so I would get a transfer and redshirt Dee for the reasons I said. In 2 years unless they redshirt Haines and Van Ness they will not be there in 2 years because they are juniors. I take feedback from our fans with a grain of salt. I don't take the advice from our enemies very seriously. Yes, their potential lineup is intimidating but our lineup in 2 years could be Spratley or Sakamoto, Forrest, Hughes or Vega, Jamison, Travis or Robideau, Routledge and or Lockett at 65 or 74, Thompson, Merrill and Ross. We are younger than Penn. St I want Lockett in the lineup when we can threaten for 35 or 36 or 37 or 28. Get my point because next year we won't be challenging for 35. But the next 4 years I think we can challenge if we have great coaches. In 2 years Penn st has
Luke Davis Blaze van Ness Duke mesenbrink Haines Ryder Barr Mirasola will still have Kasak as well. I'm not sure Cael loses again before he retires

Haines would need a RS to be there I messed that one up .But Van Ness will be with his medical RS he has 2 years remaining after this one.I don't know if we will ever beat Penn. I think the only “problem” with that is without another yuge portal haul, that leaves next year’s lineup in a position to backslide a bit with respect to team performance at NCAAs (and in duals).Haines would need a RS to be there I messed that one up .But Van Ness will be with his medical RS he has 2 years remaining after this one.
I agree I would RS Lockett regardless he's not beating Mesenbrink at 165 next year and will be a small 174 and Haines will be back. Have 4 years of Jax, Lockett and Ross in the line up together
