If you don’t understand how to parse words I could see how one might see this as praise. It’s lipstick on a pig. The General is on Fox because he is trying to convince the president NATO is good for us and by talking directly to trump on tv and not criticizing the toddler in chief he is hoping to ingratiate himself with our C&C. Believing Trump is the first president to express frustration at domestic NATO spending levels is disingenuous and simply a Pom Pom narrative.
I don’t believe that. He has been quite a bit more strident in his language insisting upon it. Believing there was any chance he was planning on ending our alliance with NATO was way nuttier.
Now that there has been a response from other NATO nations, of course this was going to happen all along. Sort of like how the fall of the USSR and the Berlin Wall were always a foregone conclusion. In hindsight.
