You can market communism as 'democratic socialism' but it is still lipstick on a pig.

I'll buy into communism and socialism so that the wealth can be spread around equally when they also start spreading around the work equally.

That reminds me of a true story. I threw a graduation party for my daughter-in-law when she got her PhD from Yale. The guests were all Yale professors and graduate students, PhD candidates and what not. This was during the primary season when Hillary was going against Obama for the Democrat nomination.
Without exception every person there was voting for Hillary (Obama was still pretty much unknown). For a couple of hours they waxed elegant on what a marvel Hillary was, how she would make a great president, the first woman president, end on end. I sat in a corner and observed but said nothing.
Finally one of the guests noticed me and asked my opinion. No, I said, I’m from a deeply red state, you don’t want to know what I think of Hillary Clinton. Yes, yes, they all replied, we really want to know! Well, I said, I think Hillary Clinton is the type of politician that would set up labor camps and put people like me in them. I have never seen eyes go so round. There was an audible gasp from the whole group. They reacted like I had slapped each of them across the cheek. No one other than my son spoke to me for the rest of the night.
