So with the CDC coming out the other day stating that of all the Covid deaths only 6% of them are purely because of Covid, whereas the other 94% of deaths had a co morbidity risk associated with the Covid death (obesity, diabetes, respiratory condition, hypertension, etc). Is it safe to say that the fact that the US is a severally unhealthy nation (and has been for 30 years) prior to Covid, that very few measures, short of mandatory dieting, banning smoking, and mandatory exercising (starting about 15 years ago) would really have made much of an impact? So essentially, there's nothing that any politician, Democrat or Republican could have done to prevent Covid and short of Cuomo's brilliant plan to send sick patients back to nursing homes, nothing that has or has not been done really cost people their lives.
