Read they will come out at 6ish on weds. Starting at 12 or 1 they will release the fields for each weight class also on weds. From what I understand this year they will start at 285 and work down releasing weights every 30 minutes. Again....this is what I read so there u go!
Actually the qualifier announcements will roll out today at 1 pm ET/Noon CT. They decided to step it up a day. Brackets will still be released tomorrow at 6pm ET/5 pm CT.
The only one that looks favorable is Marsden, he has beat Coon twice.Well, at a glance doesn't seem like we caught many breaks
Not a ton better for OU.
125 - Ryan Millhof gets the #5 seed. He's gets Gilman in the quarters, and hopefully Tomasello in the semis.
133 - Cody Brewer gets the four seed, and he only has two losses. Would like to have seen the current Big Twelve champion and returning National Champion get the three seed over a kid that didn't win his conference. Plus, that puts the two and three seeds who are from the same conference on the same side in the semis. Unless they're trying to guarantee a finalist for their conference, it might have been better to split those two as it would be possible. But, like everybody else, in order to be the best you have to beat the best. He's going to have to go through Nashon at some point.
149 - Davion Jefferies gets the #3 seed Mayes from Missouri. That hurts. How the heck is Collica only an #11 seed??? I thought they were going to try to separate kids from the same conference as much as possible???
165 - Clark Glass got the 15 seed. Doesn't help him much, but it's nice to be thought of. Congrats, you get Jordan in the second round.
174 - Matt Reed gets the #3 seed from Missouri.
285 - Ross Larson is unseeded, and draws the 12 seed, then Coon, then Marsden. That's a tough row to hoe.
Mayes and Jefferies are in two separate conferences
Yeah, I was looking ahead. I forgot there's only one "free" round from your conference. Or at least there used to be. Davion lost to Mayes 4-2 in Missouri, so he has a legit shot. I think he'd get Collica next, who I think is the hottest wrestler in the nation currently.Mayes and Jefferies are in two separate conferences
Collica got kind of a crappy draw, he should win his first round match (knock on wood) but then the road gets rocky immediately after that by having to get Tsirtsis in the 2nd round.

I am worried about AD having Lewis on his side of the bracket. Don't take down!
Tsirtsis has not looked good this year so perhaps given how T is wrestling and how Collica is wrestling, it's a good draw?
I like your style. They'll have 10 in the finals, everyone else is just fighting for 2nd place.
I wish Joe could of fell back one spot to the 7th seed. I like his match up with gannt in the quarters then already having AA status locked up before ever even hitting nolf. Not that he can't AA regardless but it's just one less thing to worry about, plus the added confidence of knowing you've already done it.
Collica got kind of a crappy draw, he should win his first round match (knock on wood) but then the road gets rocky immediately after that by having to get Tsirtsis in the 2nd round. 74 & 84 sucks because if you win your first two matches then you draw the one seed. Klimara draws mega in the quarters which is a very tough match up for Eddie. GWH has to wrestle Clark in round 2. It sucks but the way I see it, as much as we don't want to draw the one seed early, they probably aren't to thrilled of having their one seed have to wrestle the likes of a dangerous Rogers and the machine Nolan boyd early either.
Sorry if I sound so negative, just not very pleased with our seeds from top to bottom (with the exception of Alex) I'll get it over, boys just gotta show up ready to scrap. I have confidence in John and the staff that they'll have the boys ready to get it on Friday morning!
Tsirtis is not wrestling that well this year, Boyd handled the #1 seed handily last time and is wrestling better than he ever has, I think Smith will get Nolf this time.
Question, does #4 seed at 165 Lewis of Missouri always do great on top as he did against Deiringer? or was it Deiringer just had a bad day? was sick? mentally not into that match etc. I pick Deiringer but if that guy is always that good on top, he is a threat to upset. Is he USUALLY/ALWAYS that good from the top position?
I am not disappointed with any of the draws. I thought they were fair and I look forward to a great tournament. I am not going for the first time in years but I will be following it on TV and the internet and depending upon okstatefan, Mr. Earl, KC Scott and others to fill me in.So I ran through the brackets and I think Eddie has a good shot at 5th place.
The top 4 are the top 4.
Klimara will most likely loos to Mega in the quarters. IF that is the case, he will most likely have Lambert or Millhof. I don't see Youtsey or Macri beating Millhof and Lambert will lose to Gilman. I think Eddie can beat either one to go to the Conso quarters where he might wrestle Cruz or Mcghee or Peters. I like his chances against all of them to get to the semi's against Gilman who will lose to Tomasello. Gilman will beat Klimara and he will wrestle for 5th. That's how I see it anyway.
According to Flo if everything went to seed we are currently 18 points behind PSU.
