I guess my point Dan is not that racism exists (although it does), its that it did exist and the effects are still felt today and it is born out in the differences in opportunity between white and black people as demonstrated by the wealth and income gaps. You are good with inequality of opportunity as long as it can't be traced to present day racism?
I've listened to this thread go down so many circuitous paths that I've lost track of exactly what you're advocating. If I understand you correctly you are saying that blacks have inequality of income because whites in 2021 are racist and want to keep blacks in servitude. Or maybe it's not that whites in 2021 are necessarily racist, but because of the legacy of racism whites have a head start at birth. Systemic racism is rampant even though many whites of the conservative bent can't see it. It's there for all to see, but conservative whites simply refuse to look.Learn to read a chart and get back to me.
Personally I think that is bunk. But for the sake of argument let's agree you are correct in your assessment. What do you, 07Pilt, recommend to bring about an equality of income between races? What is 07Pilt's solution? What steps must be taken in order for the America of 07Pilt's dream to emerge?
