I don’t know if I’d describe myself as an absolutist. I do know that under the current legal status quo in the neighborhood of 1/2 a million human beings are killed every year, many of them butchered. I do know that PP exists to make money off of abortion and all of the stats they promulgate that purport to show otherwise are BS.
An embryo isn’t a human being. To attempt to make it so is disingenuous at best.
What species is an embryo in a human womb then? What about a fetus?
What’s your position on laws allowing for murder and manslaughter charges against those who cause the death of an unborn baby against the patents’ wishes?

How do you logically charge a woman for murder/manslaughter in the event an abortion is necessary to protect her own life?
A. I don’t under current law
B. The health of the mother hocum has been used to stretch to all kinds of spurious BS in support of late term abortions
C. what percentage of abortions do you think are performed in an effort to save the life of the mother? Fewer than 1%.

So because it happens, you can’t make it illegal. Do you understand that? Frequency or not, it happens enough for abortion to be a viable option for a mother, no?
How about we make it illegal except in cases where a doctor determines it’s necessary to save the mother’s life (not mental well being, etc.) or to save her from physical disability? Or allow states to decide it on that basis.

If you’re speaking in regards to late-term abortions, I agree. I don’t think a decision should be able to dragged for that long. Never have.
I’ve always believed abortion should be a viable option for rape victims, incest, and saving a mother’s life.
One of the reasons I’m not a Democrat. None of the women have accepted compromising legislation in this platform.
As it is a stalemate, I side on abortion, but fundamentally I don’t like it as a widespread first/last resort of convenience.

Gee, last time I checked human embryos can't become cats, dogs, pigs, pine trees, Toyota Camrys, gold, salmon, wool sweaters, plankton, or anything else on the planet that's not a human. Weird how the human reproductive system works.

There’s never been a case of that. It’s a lie propagated by the anti-baby left to advance their War on Babies.
I wish the left would just be honest and state it’s purely a financial reason to prop up abortion. Hell, I agree in many cases it would be financially beneficial to the parents, kids are ****ing expensive. It’s still wrong and immoral but at least the discussion would be honest.
