“We are coming for your children”

Of course I do. How is it any different than every other sin out there that we all constantly commit? mut?
How is it different? Great question!

You - and all the leftists in the world who are okay with homosexuality - want us (Christians, or at least people on the right) to accept homosexuality as though it is NOT a sin. To me, saying homosexuality is okay would be like saying that cheating on your wife/husband is okay, or watching porn is okay, or stealing is okay, or abortion is okay, or shooting heroin is okay, or … well, you get my point.

Notice that all of those things i mentioned are things occurring throughout the world - AND ARE TREATED AS ACCEPTABLE! The looting during the rioting is looked upon the left as acceptable. Abortions are acceptable to a large partbof society. Heck, Oklahoma’s government just passed a bill to provide free needles to heroin users. Thats likevsaying that shooting up is acceptable! Those on the right say that these things are problems in society. Those in the left don’t believe that they are problems and say “live and let live.”

And that’s the issue people on the right have with people on the left. The things that many feel are wrong, others say “you need to accept it.” Actually, it‘s more like the left saying “you need to embrace it.” In other words, those on the left are basically saying, “you (people on the right) need to change your ideas of what’s right and what’s wrong.” And the left, through the media (not only news, but social media as well), through music, television, and movies, and through the education system are drilling it into young people’s heads, that all of that stuff is okay.

Well, I - and others on this board i would bet - are sticking to our guns.

Hate the sin and love the sinner.

I'm not asking you to accept the sin. I demanding that you not discriminate against the sinner.

Pretty much what Jesus taught.

Jesus also taught to turn against sin, did he not? So if people see homosexuality as a sin, is it okay to hate homosexuality?

Sure. But love your neighbor. You don't discriminate against someone for being part of the LGBTQ+ community because you find homosexuality as a sin.

That's my point. You choose to discriminate against homosexuality and not other sins. I'm sure you have many Christian friends that are also sinners. In fact I'm sure they all are. Yet you don't hate them. Why is that?

I'm so glad that all these people disgusted by homosexuals are without sin and judging lest they be judged.

You‘re not grasping my point. As you said, we all sin. We’re born into sin. I have my sins, but i don’t go around and tell people that my sins are okay. They‘re not! Even if it’s just thoughts and not actions. And i pray and ask forgiveness. I certainly don’t go around and try to say my sin is okay! But that’s what a lot of people are doing with homosexuality (or, many other things). They’re telling us to accept homosexuality! They‘re asking us to embrace their sin, which i will never do.

I’ve always told people this to explain my thinking: if my brother or my daughter or my life-long best friend came up to me and said to me “I’m coming out, I’m gay“, i would tell them “I love you, but what you’re doing is wrong.” I don’t discriminate or hate gays i work with, but when they - and its not just gays, but also society in general - start coming at my daughters and trying to tell them that being homosexual is okay and THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH IT, that‘s when they are going against what I’m teaching MY family.

Let me ask you this DChi: If i worked for Phillips and wrote a Letter to the Editor to the Examiner-Enterprise (or Tulsa World) stating my thoughts as I’ve put them on this board, what do you think would happen if my bosses at Phillips saw that? (as if anyone still reads the EE, 😂)

I for one will never acquiesce to the Demands of Conformity that the Lefties push on everyone daily.
The Irony in all of this is the lefties of today are exactly what they have accused Conservatives of being for years.
You cannot make this shit up.
You already have, haven't you?

Yeah nobody reads the EE. LUL

I don't think anything would happen to you at work as long as you aren't speaking on behalf of the company. As with any other company.

I don't think people are telling you to accept that homosexuality isn't a sin. If that's your belief then it's your belief. But not everyone believes that way.

Lastly again... my point is that you don't get to discriminate against someone for being part of the LGBTQ+ community regardless of what you think of their sexuality and how much of a sin it is.

And the truth will win out. You teach your kids what you believe and they'll incorporate that teaching into what they see in the rest of the world and eventually come to a decision as to who is correct. And that's the total point of the original video about them coming for your children - to teach them kindness and tolerance. Very much like the preaching of Jesus.

Literally the message was 'We are coming for your children - to teach them tolerance and kindness."
That may be the message they are trying to convey, and it’s a fine message. But surely you can understand the concern parents might have when activists of any stripe tell them they are “coming for your children” regardless of what is their intent. Other gay activists parade (literally parade) around in shockingly perverse outfits. This chorus may not endorse that kind of perversion, but a parent not intent on following the latest trends in that lifestyle may not want to take a chance. I’m with you 100% that gays should be left alone. But I also think gays should leave us alone. I think that’s what you believe as well, but you aren’t saying it in a way that will satisfy those concerned about blatant perverse activism.

Now do adultery, then maybe false witness. You know ten commandment level stuff.
I mentioned adultry as a sin earlier in the thread. Please keep up, David.

And, yes, lying is probably the first of the Ten Commandments that has gone by the wayside in today’s society. Young people, especially, today have no problem lying. Being around kids as often as i am, it‘s sickening to see. The lying / lack of being truthful is blatant.

The thing about lying is that it corrupts or justice system massively. No one has a trouble lying under oath today.

Lying and lack of customer service skills these days are the norm. Hired a lady to make some decals for me almost 2 months ago. She finally started working on them 2 weeks ago but as of last week I had not heard a thing so Tuesday I asked about the progress in a text and she didn't respond until the next day in a text and told me her husband had been sick and also one of her kids.
No problem I can understand that so I ask her to call me when she starts back on them again and she said she was going to do them on Thursday and give me a call. Got a text late Thursday evening saying it would be Friday instead and she would call me. No call no text nada on Friday or today so I texted her today and she called me and said she would get to work on them Monday and hopefully have them completed Monday night. This kind of behavior is the norm these days and this is just one example of many I have had in the past few yrs.

A few months ago I bought a new John Deere riding mower at Lowes on a Monday and it was supposed to be delivered that Friday. They called me late Friday afternoon and said it would be another week. After asking why they couldn't deliver it that day the day they said it would be the guy said its not being delivered today both of our trucks are in the shop and there's not a thing you can do about it and hung up the phone.
Went up there the next day, got my 2200.00 refunded and got one from a John Deere dealer that evening and it was delivered the next day.
Lowes didn't even ask why we wanted a fefund or if there was a problem.

As most of y’all know, this past school year was a waste for about 20 percent of students who just choose to take a year off. I actually contacted some of these students. The excuses some gave was mind-blowing. One said she had a stroke the previous week (she had missed about two months straight). Even after having this “stroke” she managed to come back a week later completely healthy (Isn’t modern medicine incredible!). Another had said that his bird died of cancer and he was too distraught to go to school. Another said that their dog was sick and they had to stay home to take care of it. The list goes on. So, yeah, lying is not something that many people have any trouble doing today.

Cambridge dictionary has a good definition. willing to accept behavior and beliefs that are different from your own, although you might not agree with or approve of them:
I agree with that definition.

The LGBTwxyz lobby is anything but tolerant. For example, allowing biological men to compete in athletics vs females is an incredibly anti-science and unfair policy. If you oppose this policy, you are “transphobic” (whatever the hell that means). Or if you think the disgusting act of sodomy is unnatural and intrinsically disordered, you are “anti-gay” and “homophobic.” It’s quite amusing watching some of the most intolerant people in th country sing about “tolerance.”

So be a better person than they are by being tolerant even when they aren't.
