While each of us may not have done anything at the time of our birth to deserve citizenship, our parents, their parents and their previous generations that made this country what it is damn sure deserved to bring a child into this country to carry on their sacrifices and service. By contrast, what must natural-born citizens do to earn their citizenship? Survive labor and delivery. That’s it. If anything, natural-born citizens should exercise the most gratitude. What did we do to earn our liberty?
