Pre-seeds are out.
Carter is the 9 seed at 65kg with Jesse Mendez at the 1 (Nick Lee dropped out it appears).
Hamiti is the 2 seed at 79kg with Levi Haines at the 1 and Simon Ruiz at the 3.
Plott is the 4 seed at 92kg with Josh Barr at the 1.

Also of note, Hayden Zillmer dropped down to the 97kg bracket. I assume that's based on an assumption that Kyle Snyder won't be competing at Final X.

WrestleMatness competition now up for WTT

Plott techs Patrick Brophy 14-4 in 4:52.

Plott's offense was great overall, though early when he was up 2-0 and went for a shot and Brophy caught him and threw him over for 4. All Plott after that as he reeled off two more takedowns and then a 4 pointer of his own to end the first period up 10-4. Started the second period a little slower. Brophy got in on a good shot and Plott fed him hips to defend it well. Then two more Plott takedowns to end it.

Plott also teched Brophy 10-0 in a minute at the US Open when he got a takedown and then a leg lace to end it.

Plott weighed in at 89.9kg. He and Aeoden Sinclair are the only two in the bracket who aren't cutting to make weight.

Plott was quicker and more technical, other than the whip over. If he can continue to add size and strength without losing quickness he could be a factor at this weight. 18 lbs up from his collegiate weight is a big jump.

Bo Bassett beats Beau Bartlett 1-0 in an underwhelming match. Bartlett was the more aggressive wrestler and the only point was on a step-out when Bartlett had gotten deep in on a shot and was trying to go behind on the edge and stepped out. No one ever went on the clock.

Bartlett apparently either didn't realize he was losing, or thought Bassett had been put on the clock late (Bo was being signaled, but wasn't actually put on the clock). Either way, a big failure of awareness and of his coaches. He looked at the clock with like 5 seconds left and looked shocked and that was all she wrote.

Well, Flo's schedule was wrong again. They started consolation matches. Carter got his hand raised after Seth Gross didn't show. Will rematch with Beau Bartlett next

I’m obviously not up to snuff here but why no Wyatt, Forrest and Lockett listed as competitors?
Wyatt and Jax won the US Open and advanced to Final X. Here's an explainer of the process for making the World team in case you're not already familiar.

Lockett said the coaches wanted him to do Pan Ams (he won it last week) and then focus on U20s.

Carter techs Beau Bartlett 10-0 in 2:50.

Did a little bit of everything. Scored off a re-attack. Scored off his own offense. Got a turn. Won a scramble. Got a single leg and then beat the quad pod. Carter previously lost to Bartlett on the topside of the US Open 5-3.

I felt he should have beat Blaze earlier today and just made some mistakes. Good to see him bounce back like that.

Carter will face the loser of Jesse Mendez and Real Woods in the consi semis.

Hamiti beats Simon Ruiz 5-3.

Was up 3-1 all step outs. Dean didn't seem to try very hard to finish at all, was content with the 1. The first one he had Ruiz's leg up in the air and just walked him out without attempting the takedown at all. Finally secured a takedown to make it 5-1, and in my opinion he was in a good position to threaten a turn and didn't seem to try. Then he gave up a late takedown but Ruiz didn't have much on top luckily.

I think Hamiti has a great future, but he has a lot to improve on in freestyle.

Plott loses to Josh Barr 10-4.

Was down 2-0, then got a crotch lock on Barr and took him over twice for 4 points, but they also gave 2 to Barr that I really didn't understand and Pyles didn't either. 4-4 at the break. Second period was all Barr. I think Plott can be competitive at the weight if he grows into it.

All three Cowboys return tomorrow.

Hamiti will face Levi Haines in the championship.

Carter will face Marcus Blaze for 3rd. He advanced through the consi semi after Jesse Mendez injury defaulted.

Plott will face Michael Macchiavello for 3rd. He advanced through the consi semi with a bye. Plott lost to Macc 11-0 at the US Open.

What was Mendes’ injury?

Carter loses to Marcus Blaze 4-0. Just couldn't get to Blaze. The one time Carter threatened to score, Blaze took a single knee near the edge before stepping out and was called grounded.

Hamiti loses to Levi Haines 10-2.

The last couple scores came after desperation shots from Hamiti, so it wasn't really as bad as the score, but Haines was definitely the better wrestler today. Shows the difference in free and folk.

Hamiti is very young (same age as Levi) and this was his first freestyle season in 4-5 years. He has a lot of time to get better in free
