Because it probably wasn't illegal. Be my guest if you want to tighten up campaign finance laws though. Why does no one care?
Not illegal? Can you explain the legality of the arrangement?Because it probably wasn't illegal.
Can you explain the illegality of it?Not illegal? Can you explain the legality of the arrangement?
Can you explain the illegality of it?
If you are leading the way on closing campaign finance loopholes, I am right behind you.Does it have to be illegal to be wrong?
If it is wrong, shouldn't the half of the nation voting for team blue care?
Nope, don't really care about the subject. I've read several stories about it, including Donna Brazile's, that were concerned about the legality. Just curious why you think it's legal. Can you explain the illegality of it?
I think the stories you are referring to question its fairness not its legality.Nope, don't really care about the subject. I've read several stories about it, including Donna Brazile's, that were concerned about the legality. Just curious why you think it's legal.
Gotcha. It was my understanding that the state party back to DNC and then transferred to the Clinton campaign was the possible illegal component.I think the stories you are referring to question its fairness not its legality.
All the component transfers of money are legal:
Donor to HVF
HVF to DNC
HVF to State Parties
State Party to DNC
As a Berner, I am not happy that such a scheme is legal, but my beef is with A. the law and B. the DNC and state parties for signing up for it. I have no problem with the FEC refusing to do anything about it.
The DNC's legal defense is basically they aren't required to be impartial by law. At least now we have the heads up for 2020.Gotcha. It was my understanding that the state party back to DNC and then transferred to the Clinton campaign was the possible illegal component.

It is because political elites are the mediators of our political will. We resent that of course. An interesting thing about this board is that there are very few on here that support the political elites, regardless of which side of the isle they are own.

I'll admit she was a horrible secretary of state.I am not certain I have ever seen one single liberal on this board be critical of HRC for her past actions
I'll admit she was a horrible secretary of state.
Yet, neither side can get out of their own way to make real change happen. I am not certain I have ever seen one single liberal on this board be critical of HRC for her past actions other then to agree she was a bad candidate. I have seen some conservatives be critical of Trump. Neither side can stand the other side attacking their party, team, or candidate and comes to their defense immediately. We say we want real change, but yet we keep electing the same people back, or electing people with the same tired political views and methods of political manipulation and defending them in fear of losing ground to the "opposition".
It is pretty sad, feels like nothing will ever change and why bother. That is where I was about 12 - 14 years ago when I tuned out off all of MSM and the politicians, and about where I am going back to. We lack a population that is capable as a whole of honest critical thinking, social media and MSM is manipulating our population like puppets, we are an incredibly naive people as a whole and we are going to get what we mostly deserve from that as a whole. I do not like it, but it is reality.
My major goal right now is to die in this country and not become a bitter old man as this country goes on a witch hunt in casting every single white person as a racist for simply being white.
She’s a horrible human being.I'll admit she was a horrible secretary of state.
Was with you right up until your last sentence.
Do you REALLY feel persecuted and the subject of a witch hunt for simply being white?
I ask because I too am a middle aged headed to old white male and I feel like I have it better than any other demographic in America (except for maybe younger white males) when it comes to...well...pretty much everything.
I was not speaking to financial position or well being. I am doing well financially but like you I have worked my ass off my whole life, including throwing papers as a young boy and working at a service station the summer after my 7th grade year and working all thru HS, etc...I am talking about the political climate and what MSM, social media, various movements are doing to portray white men. Part of the reason I have been disengaging from MSM, etc...like the past is frankly to avoid the rancor. Hopefully, that puts me in a better mood and it has already, and assuming MSM, etc...does not turn their rancor in to a daily living reality due to their influence.
I wasn’t just speaking to financial position or well being either.
I don’t feel persecuted or subjected to a witch hunt in any over those other areas you mention either. I agree that their is a lot of rancor in society right now, but I disagree that one side or the other is primarily responsible.
Yeah the facts in that thread have already been established. How it is illegal is the question.
I don't know. What kind of senator is anybody? What kind of senator was she?
Imagine being so insecure about your accomplishments that you get this triggered by the words "white privilege."Well, perhaps you are more thick skinned then I am. Based on all my life experiences, it is really insulting when the message is if you are a white male doing well you got there via your white privilege card is really hard to listen to, particularly if you have suffered thru family situations or tragedies growing up that easily could have stacked the deck against you being successful and particularly when you grew up in a Fortune 500 Company intentionally hiring less qualified minorities over caucasians and seeing caucasians fired for poor attendance and tardiness and minorties needing a personnel file 5 inches thick with 3 years of poor performance documented before they could be fired, and actually believing this was good for society, only to watch the “news” and be told how easy and privileged you had it decades later.
Imagine being so insecure about your accomplishments that you get this triggered by the words "white privilege."
Whats yours? We have different definitions for "triggered".
Imagine being so insecure about your accomplishments that you get this triggered by the words "white privilege."
Imagine being so triggered by the words "white privilege" that you can't even bother to understand it.Armchair political liberal psychological babble. It is about fairness, not insecurity. Those peddling this message want something from me, something they either have not earned on their own merits like I have, or some recognition by me of my so called white privilege and evidently I am suppose to do something about it.
Imagine being so triggered by the words "white privilege" that you can't even bother to understand it.
Kinda proving my point here. There is nothing to argue. My life experiences and my interpretation of the world around me is just that. Imagine being so triggered that the only meaning you assign to "white privilege" is not the experienced meaning to everyone.
You didn't have a point so much as a seethingProved mine as well.
You didn't have a point so much as a seething
You have earned it all in life, buddy. You just wish, seeing how must enjoy the seething of others.
