While the whole world goes bonkers over Trump look what the French are doing.

The people elected the Congress. If they want solutions they should elect representatives that care about solutions, not rhetoric, which was the point of my previous post. From what I've seen and I've watched all of the debates, Trump has provided the least detail as to his solutions to the big issues while pumping the most rhetoric, hence my dislike for him.
In 2010 and 2014 the people thought they were electing people who cared about finding solutions. Besides Eric Cantor, none of the Leadership was disposed and the leadership which remained had no real desire to find solutions notwithstanding their campaign rhetoric as evidenced by approving almost everything Obama has wanted. The old axiom "change must come from the top" is in play this go round, hence the disdain being shown towards the majority of the establishment politicians. It into this vacuum that a Trump can flourish. Those who rallied the people in 2010 and 2014 only to toss them aside following the elections should bear the blame. As I've said before it's professional politicians who have presided over the mess this country is in. A non-politician can't do anything worse.

Look I don't disagree with you at all about professional politicians and I think electing a non-politician or an out of the mainstream candidate like Paul or even Cruz would be great and my preferred outcome. I just want it to be someone of substance that can actually work with Congress and accomplish something. I don't think Trump is that guy and I don't like the way he is using fear to drive his campaign. I enjoy the way he handles the media, but he is at a point now in my eyes that the bad outweighs the good.

At this point the government and political system looks beyond repair. I have no problem with Trump setting everyone's hair on fire. Matter of fact it's amusing.

If we are going to eat a shit sandwich might well eat one that will make the politicians more miserable than the citizens.
