We've got Mnuchin taking a $25k/hour government plane to Europe for his honeymoon, and taking a jet to Kentucky to check out he eclipse, Carson spending $30k on a dining set,

We've got the Sec.of Interior:

The U.S. Interior Department is spending almost $139,000 on new office doors for Secretary Ryan Zinke, according to public records..
, the project — described as “Secretary’s Door” — cost $138,670, and are to carried out by a Maryland company called Conquest Solutions.
The company’s website says it specializes in building automation systems. According to government records, Conquest Solutions was the only company to bid for the job.
According to HomeAdvisor.com, a high-end door should cost about $4,200.

Biff has totally blown away any records for vacation and spending travel money at this point in his presidency....

Looks to me like they're grabbing and spending every dime they can on personal perks. Did anybody doubt Biff's administration would act like this?

“I would rarely leave the White House because there’s so much work to be done,” Trump toldThe Hill in 2015. “I would not be a president who took vacations. I would not be a president that takes time off.” While campaigning for the presidency in 2016, Trump said to the American people: “I’m going to be working for you. I’m not going to have time to go play golf.”

You were equally outraged by Obama, I’m sure.

I’m also sure you were outraged by hillary flying 20 miles or whatever it was.

I think there should be a cap on presidential vacation expenditures. Now, you wanna compare Obama’s EIGHT YEARS to Trump’s ONE? No...ya don’t.

I actually agree. They deserve vacations, but the taxpayers spend way too much on it.

Trump should pay for his weekend trips to Florida our of his pocket. He at least is donating his salary which is a good thing.

On the topic of his salary donation, I’m not convinced that’s the altruistic notion it’s shown to be. I see it as another way to hide his tax returns.

is... is that a conspiracy theory? or not, the nuances are lost on me.

- Won’t release his tax returns (first prez since Nixon)
- Under audit
- Believes his financial disclosures are adequate representation of his financials.

I mean, if that’s my “conspiracy theory”, it’s my one lol

When Obama didn’t release his birth certificate I’m sure you had the same sort of beliefs against him.

So you’re a birther who didn’t take him at his word...not to mention his mom was a WHITE woman from Wichita lol.

I’m not. Why won’t you take Trump at his word?

Let’s see...

- BS donations he lied about (charitable donations)
- “Trump University”
- Numerous business flops
- Said he wouldn’t release taxes because they’re under audit, which legally does nothing to stop him from releasing them
- etc. etc. etc.

i didn't say you said they were. but it has been said, a lot, by a lot of people, and I've never understood why. i was hoping you might.

for the record i don't particularly care if he was or wasn't. never been a fan of overturning elections.

There is a pretty common birther narrative that because his father is a Kenyan Muslim he is automatically a Kenyan Muslim. That’s just a fact too, and I’m not saying it’s a universal belief, just an all too common one.

thanks. I still don’t see what’s intrinsically racist about that. would t a brither be the same thing if the country in question was germany or Ireland?

I doubt there’s any real “dirt” in Trump’s tax return - otherwise it would have been leaked by this point.

I stand by the assertion that someone who’s become rich by pimping his name out as a synonym for “rich billionaire” probably doesn’t want people to know that his net worth is much less than what he’s led everyone to believe.

On another note: why is “white trash” still acceptable? Shouldn’t there be outrage over a term that disparages people both on skin color and economic status?

Pretty much nailed it.

Why would Trump draw a “red line” at looking at his finances? Could ultimately be nothing, but suspicion is naturally raised by that statement.

Could also be true. What’s interesting to me is we’re talking about perhaps the most litigious person in human history. He’s sued his way to wealth as well as branding, which I feel he’s hurt for himself throughout his campaign/presidency thus far.

IDK. I rarely hear the term from non-whites though.

My thoughts...could be either or both.

1. Trump is all about an over the top appearance of wealth. Showing that he’s only dusty rich and not dirty stinking filthy rich probably doesn’t mesh well with the bottom line or his worldview.

2. He just not want to release them to send a message to his critics. Is it a proverbial middle finger in another childish tantrum or just goading them on to harp about something that’s a non issue to his supporters? Your mileage may vary.
