VP Debate — Oct 1

If Dems didn't have J6 and abortion, I'm honestly not sure what they would even talk about.

Early reviews from the libs is Vance won.

I thought the first half was a tie, second not so much.

Walz had two big gaffes, JD was pretty smooth. Maybe could have been more aggressive.

Every answer to a hard question for them is
“I was born a middle class person”
I hate that answer for both sides. They are politicians and based on thier pay they should still be middle class citizens. Saying they grew up middle class implies they are no longer middle class. So why even say you were? What you are realy saying is I left middle class behind and its beneith me as are you.

And JD wiped the floor with Waltz.

I had to leave from 9 to 10 for a meeting. Catching up a little bit on the debate. Specifically the abortion issue. Walz was very good at avoiding the question on allowing an abortion into the ninth month. He immediately turned it toward rape, incest, and harm to the mother. Which any educated voter knows that these are less than 2% of abortions. An underlying issue that I caught with his answer is that he doesn’t think states should have the right to make their own decisions. Using cases where girls and women had to leave their own state to get an abortion or, it was unavailable in a state they lived in. His facial expression when Vance said it should be up to the states was a clear indication that Democrats do not want states to be able to govern themselves.

They are crafty and use issues such as these to gradually progress toward total control. Obama was a wizard at this shit and Rhinos bent over.

Walz stuttered through the whole debate. Chucklehead was nonsensical throughout.

Dems defend 'nice guy' Tim Walz after shaky debate performance

By Diana Glebova
NEW YORK -- Several Democrats in the spin room defended Tim Walz's performance on the debate stage -- attributing his "win" to being "nice."
“That’s just who he is," a “nice guy,” Colorado Gov. Jared Polis said of the rare civility between Walz and JD Vance.
"He was extra Minnesota nice tonight," agreed DNC Chairman Jaime Harrison.

😂😂😂

Reading between the lines, he was weak. I didn’t watch so I don’t have my own impression, only interpreting those comments.

To add to this, Walz gave a disapproving look when Vance brought up how states should be able to make their own decisions. This was the during abortion segment. He then, brags about how his state took it into their own hands to go against it. Give a Democrat long enough they eventually step on their own tongue.

I guess states rights are OK when they don’t go against dear party.

I kept hearing Walz was terrified of Vance pre debate. Appears he was right to be. By the way did the board left siders just give up?

This is what concerns me. I'm also assuming these things are all true, which is a risky assumption.

Doesn't really concern me. I get your concern Vance might end up being another Mike Pence but....where is the first Mike Pence? He threw Trump under the bus then MAGA promptly threw HIM under the bus. His political career is over.

If Vance does the same, the same will happen to him. Sure, the 'bonafide conservative' wing of the GOP would love Vance, but MAGA would bury him, and no candidate in the country can run as a pub and not have MAGA's backing.

And if you're concerned Vance could bide his time, get the Presidential nomination in 2028 then go Dem....how do we know Junior doesn't run in 2028? As it stands today, whoever Trump endorses in 2028 wins the nomination.

Worth keeping an eye on Vance, but for now he's been a solid team player. And let's be honest, Trump supporters are the most savvy voters in America. If there's even a whiff of establishment on Vance, all of MAGA will detect it immediately. Remember on the other board when our friend JFeagaly called out Desantis for his RINO ties months before the 2022 midterms and we all said he was FOS? Even I thought he was loopy. No way Vance could go down the same road without being busted.
