Voter Fraud

I could bring my F game and still hand you your ass lol. You know it too, so sack up and quit whining.

You know you’re wrong haha.

You keep telling yourself that if if helps your self esteem.

If everyone made up what other poster's wrote we'd all be undefeated here.

So let me get this straight. Based on the info you have supplied, here’s your position as I understand it:

Trump alleges voter fraud.
Trump sets up commission to investigate.
Commission foiled by states and lawsuits.
Trump folds commission because it’s getting nowhere.
In conclusion, Trump is fake news.

Do I have this right so far?
Help me understand how Trump needed complete cooperation to prove voter fraud. Could he not take data from the states that cooperated, partial data from the states who provided it and prove the thesis sufficiently to put political heat on the rest? Could it be they tried and couldn't - basically confirming what has been asserted by numerous independent studies on the topic?

That or Trump is so ineffectual that Jay Inslee can kick his ass.

You can pick whichever narrative you think is more accurate.

There's a video that's been on here before asking black people if they have ID.

They were overwhelmingly pissed that someone would think they can't get valid ID's. Yet here we have liberals telling us people of color are incapable of getting valid ID's to vote.

Very few countries in the world are stupid enough to let people vote without ID.
There's a video on YouTube that says Republicans are all dumbasses.

They were all overwhelming dumb assey.

Guess that ends the thread....

It's all political. Both sides get to claim they are watching out for their bases and that the other side is corrupt.

But it's a good conversation to have as individual citizens.

“Many mostly Democrat States refused to hand over data from the 2016 Election to the Commission On Voter Fraud."

So the narrative is there is no evidence of voter fraud but we won't give the information that would either prove or disprove voter fraud.

Democrats are special people.
Kris Kobach said he couldn't comply with Kris Kobach’s voter data request. Kris Kobach is special people.

So your going with Jay Inslee kicked Donald Trumps ass then?

Anyone who's self esteem is tied to kicking anyone elses ass on this board is hopeless.

Are there other possible outcomes here or are you just picking the ones you fall in love with?

I’ll be very interested in the outcome of a real criminal investigation on this subject. We all should. The idea that some states won’t cooperate is beyond understanding.

Yeah, that guy from Kansas, he should be the first one up on charges....

Can we agree Kobach is an idiot and that his incompetence is as much to blame as any state?
Never heard of him until now. Is he an idiot? I don’t know. Are the others idiots? I don’t know. I just think they made the wrong decision.

I just think they made the wrong decision.
By “they” do you mean the idiots that made illegal requests of states or do you mean those who refused illegal information requests?

I suppose you could say just the Republicans who refused illegal records requests made the correct decision here. If you wanted to.

Are you OK with voter suppression?
No. You OK with voter fraud?

Requiring an ID to vote isn't voter suppression. These same people have to have an ID of some sort to get on a plane, drive a car, rent an apartment, get a bank account, use a credit card, buy a car, apply for government assistance, apply for social security benefits, buy booze, buy cigarettes, buy pot, obtain unemployment benefits, etc. What kind of ID is actually arguable.

Actual voter suppression is limits on absentee ballots, poll access, hours of voting locations, access to voting locations, etc.

So, you OK with voter fraud?

I’m missing the part where it’s illegal to ask for the records. This reference by you is my first alert on this. Please expand.

Hate voter fraud - glad we prosecuted what came up in the last Presidential race and primaries before that. You got any details on all that? I will dig some out if you don’t. While your at it, any info on what Kovach has uncovered in Kansas? That might be entertaining as well!

Your wrong on many of your assertions above (apartment rental for instance). Not that that means your argument is faulty or that I like you less because of it.

Links in post above.... even the freaking chairman of the committee couldn’t provide the requested data as it violated state law. For such a strong opinion you don’t appear to have done any real looking into the current state of affairs.

Really? You can rent an apartment without some sort of ID? Where? Generally landlords like to know who to go after when contracts are broken. Examples of the no ID rentals? Maybe links to renters who advertise to anonymous renters?

Dude, if you’re talking about the 5,000 hit let me google that for you thing, I didn’t read it. I’m not combing through all those articles and guess which one you’re talking about.

And I had asked for a “particular”. It’s helpful if we can have a common place from which to begin a discussion, right?

Your gonna have to trust me.... just rented an apartment for my second daughter - primary moved to Co-signer - no id required.

2nd and 3rd links detail how Okla and Kansas refused based on state law...

Oklahoma sent them everything but social security numbers. Not really the standoff your implying here.

By the way, if you fill out a form that simply asks for your contact info, they'll provide it to anyone here too. It's public information

OK, but this is from the second link and it doesn’t say it’s illegal:
“In Kansas, the Social Security number is not publicly available. … Every state receives the same letter, but we’re not asking for it if it’s not publicly available,” Kobach said.

He did not rule out the possibility of providing that information to the commission in the future.

“If the commission decides that they would like to receive Social Security numbers to a secure site in order to remove false positives, then we would have to double check and make sure Kansas law permits,” Kobach said
.

This is from the third link and it offers no proof of illegality, either:
Social Security numbers — or even partial Social Security numbers — are not public information, however. Dean said the election board will not turn those over to the commission.

“We are not allowed to give that out,” he said.
said the election board will not turn those over to the commission.

Poorly worded statements with lack of follow up journalistic questioning, IMO. Can’t give it out? Because you don’t want to? Because of agency policy? Because of a law? What law? Basic shit like that, man.

Oh, trust you. Sure thing. No ID for anyone in the apartment or anyone signing the lease. Sounds legit.

And what we are really talking about is this:

Federal government, “Please give us those numbers.”

State government, “You mean the numbers that you thought up, the numbers that you assigned to the people, the numbers that these same people give you every year on the tax forms you demand they give you, the numbers you already have? Those numbers? What, are you crazy? That’s private info!”

Everybody agree that this is what it boils down to?
