Twitter flips the script—victims to Trump

Remember in 2013 when Democrats filibustered a bill that would have provided $30 million a year for 10 years to increase funding for school security among other things?

Good times.

That’s literally pennies on the dollar per capita. Tulsa alone needs 30 million dollars of improved school security.

This isn’t a few million dollar a year symbolic effort...this is a real problem that will require far more money staying here and not going over to Afghanistan/Syria/Africa/Iraq But that’s another sensitive fiscal issue for Republicans...they like that blank check.

Did you take a look at all of the other stuff in there?

An increase of $30 million per year was better than no million per year. $120 million would have been made available so far to date. This country has got to get serious about school security. Save the rhetoric and political posturing over things that won't matter now for a later day.

Oh, and by the way, well stated. The trillions we've wasted in meaningless combat could have been better spent domestically.

Trump nailed it

Wake the fuk up

Maybe if they had chased what could actually be corroborated

Instead of chasing a white rabbit

This could have been prevented

But no, Hillary lost

Asshurt took over

An “insurance policy” was top priority.

Sick

Oh and let’s address this

"17 of my classmates are gone. That's 17 futures, 17 children, and 17 friends stolen. But you're right, it always has to be about you. How silly of me to forget. #neveragain"

Complete bullshit

Fake news gonna fake news

All of the dead are not kids aka classmates

This is a tragedy

No doubt

Amazing to watch Dems and the media scream about lives of children

While they support the ripping apart of babies and receive funding from those that sell their body parts

If it were a felony to possess these does it violate 2nd Amendment?

How is this used for hunting?

1. 2nd Amendment doesn’t give us the right to hunt.

2. Magazines aren’t covered by the 2nd Amendment.

3. Why didn’t Dems ban these while in control with Obama?

1. Ok...
2. So is NRA ok with outlawing oversize clips? Could potentially save many lives..
3. Good question

Surprise, surprise, here's Biff's parrot carrying water again. Tingles, doesn't it? To be a part of a movement so big.

The gun issue should help you understand that resolution isn't part of the process, or the super duper smart pols on the left would've taken care of this when they had COMPLETE control of the outcome, but they didn't. If you aren't asking yourself why, you need to.

Good for California. Many lives may have already been saved.
Hyperbole.

Not a lawyer but just doesn’t seem like 2nd Amendment guarantees anyone the right to own over size clips that make it easier to slaughter humans.
Well, the 2nd Amendment doesn't specify what size of "clips" you can have, or what type of gun, or what caliber of gun... It's only specific in the right to keep and bare arms. Not a difficult concept.

Societal expectations that drive law creation and court interpretations are what determine the details, hence California's ban on "oversized clips." Note that California recently tried to make it a crime to own an "oversized clip." So far that hasn't held up in court because of another constitutional right.

How does limiting clip size allow the for the 2nd amendment to work in modern age regarding maintaining the security of a free state, when the military and foreign powers have such capabilities and even greater capabilities,

Cuz governments can never be bad and a 2 million man army can easily defeat a 200,000,000 man army. Logic! We armed citizens stand no chance against our mighty military so we might as well throw our hand down and fold.

The 2nd Amendment requires “a well-regulated militia.”

I would think cop killer bullets, cyanide-tip bullets, bump stocks and 100-round clips perhaps would be a few of the regulations required by constitutional law.

The Constitution guarantees the right to keep and bear arms. It addresses nothing about ammunition. It does require “a well-regulated militia.” How does regulating ammunition restrict the right to keep and bear arms?

aree you asking with an intellectually honest purpose? do you really want to have a conversation about this? or are you simply proselytizing?

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

Hardly a mystery. They were pushing O-care and the stimulus and thought both would ultimately help them, and they were concerned about the politics of midterms. They still lost. Just goes to show 1. Make legislative hay when you can, and 2. They lack any semblance of courage. Not as soulless and shit hearted as the GOP, but nothing to put on a resume, either.

No, the 2nd Amendment does not require a well regulated militia. That isn't the operative clause. It would help you to read the words of our Founders regarding what the 2nd Amendment was for. A big hint, it was written in response to the Constitutional provision to have a standing army.

No, you still don't get it. They're every f'n bit as soulless and shit hearted. You said it yourself, "They put politics first."

So, they had every opportunity to make sweeping changes but, put their paychecks above children's lives.

Libs have no moral high ground here. You're told you do. You're just gullible enough to believe the bullshit.
