This call to ban Muslims from entering the U.S. is offensive and unconstitutional.

What say you?

What about this. If you are black and POTUS then you are above being questioned. Some of you smart human beings need to research this shit before come here and acting like us conservatives are racist humans who have no compassion. I love how it went from blame Bush on everything to blame Trump. How about this go home and pray to what ever god you pray to and wish that this POTUS is successful and improves this country and world rather then listen to a self serving media.

What rights do people have under our constitution that are not citizens to have a right to freely cross our border? If we were at war with Russia, would we allow Russians to immigrate here, even with extreme vetting?

We are at war with terrorism with an enemy that does not identify itself as an enemy under the Geneva conventions. We have every right to not allow them in and to allow the U.S. to do background checks on those here and do extreme vetting when they decide to allow them back in.

The rights and safety of current U.S citizens supercedes those of any foreign nationals. If these countries want better immigration to the U.S. they need to help the U.S. root out terrorist strongholds in their country and defeat them.

Long over due. If we were to reach the point we had bombings once a week killing innocent men and women in this country, the libs would be the first ones blaming Trump for not providing security. We were slowly headed to weekly bombings or shootings in this country, we can not even clean up chicago and we think we can control the immigration of thugs to this country once they are here? The best defense is prevention, this was long over due, the constitution never intended for our country to become the day care center for the world and restrict the rights of citizens born here and paying taxes for decades and all of their life.

We the peoole is for the US, not the entire world.

Listen to these interviews with Somali immigrants in Minneapolis.

Note their views on:

- Free speech
- Women's rights
- Whether it's justified to lash out against those who insult the prophet M
- Whether they would rather live in the US or Somalia

We are paying and subsidizing these people to live here (they contribute next to nothing to our economic vitality).

The only American group who benefits from third world Muslim refugees is Democrat politicians (who get their votes for providing them welfare).

The immigration act of 1965 was one of the worst ideas in American history (note that it happened around the exact same time that the war on poverty was introduced --- another monumental catastrophe).

I couldn't care less about any policy being offensive. If it's unconstitutional then it shouldn't be allowed.

When it comes to national security who would believe the constitution provides more protection to foreigners and foreign enemies than it does U.S. citizens? Libs want to give our country away.

The EO does not stop muslims, it is targeted towards states breeding and exporting terrorism, some of them might be muslim and some might be christians that went to these countries to be trained as terrorists and to then come back to their home country to bring terror, that has happened. Pence trolling the lib idiots that do not know the difference.

Ok. I understand the OP now. Pence is obviously a hypocrite?

What threw me was the lack of quote citation and the invitation to discussion.

We have a right IMO during war to do what we want, the EO accomplishes what is needed legally. I am going skeet shooting today and those clay's are islamic radical terrorists and I hope to kill everyone of those head decapitation pussies. I know I have that right.

Here's a thought from Alexander Hamilton.

The survival of the American republic, Hamilton maintained, depends upon “the preservation of a national spirit and a national character.” He asserted: “To admit foreigners indiscriminately to the rights of citizens the moment they put foot in our country would be nothing less than to admit the Grecian horse into the citadel of our liberty and sovereignty.”

I think it's refreshing that we're being proactive in protecting Americans and that's all I view this as.

Imagine that responsibility, +300MM people counting on you for their safety.

If it were my responsibility to protect our people, I'd've done the same thing in the same time frame.

I'm of the opinion that we need to get our house in order before we nanny the world and the middle class can't keep picking up the tab.

Since when do non-Americans have US Constitutional rights? A Muslim ban and a religious test seems under the purview of the immigration laws and policy as expressly granted to the federal government.

However, it is my understanding of the moratorium that we are suspending accepting any further refugees from any country where we are unable to substantiate their documentation. Those refugees happen to be from mostly Muslim populations. But that's not a ban on Muslims specifically.

How true. Haven't read where we are banning Muslims from Indonesia. the largest Muslim populated country on Earth. The bigger concern is tracking Visas originating from stolen passport machines at US compounds in Syria.

I saw on CBS news last year that 62% of the Syrian immigrants were young males. A lot of things wrong with this.

Exactly. I've been to Jakarta. Good people. Of course, there aren't Indonesian refugees that I know of.

And it isn't 'immigration' that is being stopped. It is the 'refugee' program. Two different systems and congratulating the two is a tool to misinform the ignorant.

Lastly, where was the left's complaint when Obama in his last days ended accepting Cuban refugees asking for political asylum? If there was ever a true need to accept refugees in America, it is Cuba.
