This weekend we celebrate Christopher Columbus, whose journey to the new land brought diversity to the Bahamas, Americas, and new world as a whole. “Diversity is our strength!!!”

Thank you Christopher for your daring voyage and sacrifice that brought strength to our nation!! You shall be remembered.

By diversifying, you mean killing off nearly an entire tribe of Taino native indians? Possibly around 250,000…down to a few hundred within 60 years? Servitude in gold mines, plantations or shipped back to Spain (good chance you died en route), rape, mutilation, dismembered bodies paraded in the streets. Seems more like flipping the ratio from one to the other by force than peaceful coexistence and cohabitation.

I’m sure countering the Hooray CC!!! rhetoric with the realities of his genocide will be met with laughter tho…

Clutching your pearls over 250,000?

I'll raise you 45,000,000 aborted American babies since 1973.

I’m sure you'll counter the realities of this genocide with laughter tho…

Got one!!!

Once brainwashed/indoctrinated always brainwashed/indoctrinated. The noble savage lie. Walsh addressed that as many others have. Don’t virtue signal as if the natives weren’t raping, torturing, killing, cannibalizing, genociding, and conquering each other.

Howard Zinn isn’t exactly a beacon of truth in historical facts and his stuff is widely repeated by many.

Of course, you are one of the lowest IQ posters here and always have been. Congrats on taking the bait.

From Walsh. You may want to put on a helmet before you read this.
The searching party found plentiful evidence of [the] unpleasant Carib habits which were responsible for a new word — cannibal — in European languages. In the huts deserted by the warriors, who ungallantly fled, they found large cuts and joints of human flesh, shin bones set aside to make arrows of, caponized Arawak boy captives who were being fattened for the griddle, and girl captives who were mainly used to produce babies, which the Caribs regarded as a particularly toothsome morsel.
Columbus was close to Aztec territory as well. He never met them (that civilizational clash would be saved for later) but it is worth noting that the Aztec empire was not exactly a picture of peace and serenity. Tens of thousands of people were captured and killed as human sacrifices every year in macabre religious ceremonies. An offering was laid on a stone slab at the top of the temple, his beating heart was ripped out of his chest, his arms and legs were hacked off and consumed, and his limbless carcass was rolled down the steps. This process was repeated dozens or even hundreds of times in a single night, and thousands of times over the course of a year. For a long time, historians and archeologists assured us that the Spanish fabricated or exaggerated these stories of Aztec barbarism — they say the same about the stories of Carib barbarism — but then they discovered the skull racks buried in Mexico City.

Columbus never governed with the savagery of an Aztec king or a Carib chieftain, but he did take slaves. That’s true.

All of that is different. it doesn't align with the leftist narrative, therefore it should be ignored.

Dead and dismembered native indians paraded in streets. I suppose we’ll have to agree to disagree on individual definitions of savagery…seems pretty savage to me.

Is it possible the teaching of Columbian exceptionalism to the American youth is brainwashing/indoctrination?

They should have built a wall.

So you admit that nutjob righty whitey xenophobic rhetoric surrounding immigration is simply an ideology based on convenience. Columbus is, yet again, the exception…

Got it lol

It's funny how easily they manipulate your entire being.

Columbus had his faults just like everyone in history and everyone that has ever lived, he also accomplished great feats, which is what people celebrate but people like you ignore the feat and concentrate in the faults based on what you are told by your puppet masters. Dumbass.
We celebrate many people in history despite their many faults but people like you are to stupid and easily manipulated to have the slightest clue.

Do you think it’s possible curricula and/or literature utilized in many classrooms downplay or virtually omit his faults and atrocities? Isn’t that brainwashing/indoctrination/manipulation?

Seems awfully chickensh!t to tell half the story, or really just the little part of it that accentuates his good.

You can’t expect people to do something you’ve never done yourself.

Try it once.

It’s liberating.

Umm, tortured and dead natives having their hearts ripped out by the Aztec lords then being kicked down temple stairs to be eaten. 100’s a day. So noble and civilized.

Oh, so are you saying that mixing of cultures is bad? I thought you promoted the line that diversity was good?
