Isn’t female empowerment important? Isn’t diversity a strength?

Why would an oligarch media outlet that’s wants a Syrian ground war (which would likely kill millions of brown people) call this photo “provocative?”

Maybe because it’s unlawful display? To carry a weapon in Tennessee, you have to have a license for concealed or open carry, which she’s clearly doing neither of in that picture.

You’re late...already in another thread...better pick up the speed in retweeting your spoonfed narrative like a good boy.

Having been around firearms most of my life, I've got just one question for her: If you truly need to draw that pistol in an emergency situation, how long is it going to take you to get that pistol out of your skin-tight jeans? (She's probably more likely to put a round through her labia than a bad guy if it came right down to it.)

You realize she was just posing for a picture, right?

How do you know she doesn't have a permit?

It doesn’t really matter does it? Is this legal open carry? No, it’s not. Is it legal concealed carry? No, it’s not.

Furthermore, if the property she is carrying this weapon on is public property pursuant to Tennessee law, she’s breaking another law.

In 2018, in a pro-Trump shirt. Of course she was being provocative. She posted it on social media, and at that a politically charged social media outlet. I don't give a shit that she did it, but let's not pretend she posted it and didn't expect people to respond and to get attention.

I know she did it to be provocative. I was simply responding to the critique that Hollywood gave of her gun handling. But thanks for the sermon.

Well go get her tigger.

If she has a permit, how is it illegal?

According to the ABC article above, she’s almost armed.

Shouldn’t she be celebrated by feminists as a strong and empowered woman?

And shouldn’t she be the fantasy woman of male feminists?

Why do people pose with guns? Is it to alert the world they can kill someone if they want?

You never see someone pose with a new jar of pickles or a good riding lawnmower.

Because they can. Why do people dress up like Star Wars characters? Why on earth do people keep giving Celine Dion money to perform? Why does Biker Fox ride around Tulsa with a mullet and do tricks on his bicycle?

I guess that's it. But there seem to be a lot more people pose with guns than with star wars costumes. I'm not familiar with Biker Fox. Is it something like Calvin in Norman?

One more thing: whereas I know all about all standard calibers, and even a few wildcat rounds, you probably don't know a bantha from a light saber.

We spoke with Mark Haskins about the picture.

He worked 30 years in law enforcement with the Chattanooga Police Department and is now the lead firearms instructor at the Shooter's Depot.

"She's pulling up her shirt to expose it, so probably she has it concealed," Haskins said. "I don't have any adverse reaction to that."

Haskins has been teaching Tennessee handgun permit classes for more than 20 years.

He says although it's legal in most places, he's not a fan of openly carrying a gun. He recommends concealing the gun for safety reasons.

She also tweeted Monday that she was wearing a belly band.

Permitted handguns are not illegal on "public property" in Tennessee. Tennessee has among the most lenient gun laws of any state. Further you do not even know if her gun is loaded in the picture.

No, nothing like Calvin. Calvin is a traumatic brain injury survivor. Biker Fox has no excuse. You should just Google him. No way I can give you any description that can convey what Biker Fox is.

Well, we're screwed @CSCOTTOSUPOKES. I doubt we'd get any traction on the citizen's arrest and she might shoot us both. I hope you aren't on your way to OKC.

First one is legal open carry. 2nd one is a concealed holster, unlawful display.

Not so sure about that. I'll defer to your expertise in hand gun carry laws in Tennessee.

In Oklahoma, I have my CC permit. I have an inside the belt and outside the belt holster. If I have my shirt untucked, i'm concealing. If I have my shirt tucked, I'm open carrying. The style of holster is irrelevant in this equation.

If I reach up to get something and my shirt rises up exposing my firearm, again... I defer to your legal experience in this field. But, I'm pretty sure that isn't brandishing a firearm

In Oklahoma (for certain...no doubt), neither one of those would constitute an illegal display or brandishing as long as they had their SDA license. The style of holster is completely irrelevant. Your shirt riding up and exposing an otherwise concealed weapon also would not be brandishing

Thanks for confirmation. Now just waiting on Toon's rebuttal.

It’s obvious her shirt isn’t riding up, though. She’s flashing her weapon. It may not constitute brandishing in Oklahoma, but it could in other states and has.

Please cite Tennessee statute or precedent that would indicate you are correct.
