The Headline Is All You Need To Read

Bless your heart Dan. You just exposed yourself as nothing more than a big capitalist in a Commie/Anarchist facade. By your own admission you "sold at the highest prices" but you neglected to divulge if you had the highest value among your competitiors. (Pretty sure you will now).

High value necessarily requires high quality. (Sales revenues will be dependent upon the selling entity regardless of price/quality). You likely had to buy your goods overseas (or somewhere), move them, store them, sell them & service them. The higher your costs, the higher your prices (or suffer margin erosion). With no board of directors to answer to, you claim that you were always the most expensive?! Who were your top 2 competitors for the industrial opportunities.

You shouldl have not cited this article. You essentially exploded your case against tariffs. Especially in light of the Commie/Marxist/Anarchist regimes you support that have systematically "dumbed down" & sapped any desire of 2-complete generations of our citizens to work anywhere, particularly in manufacturing. (Per your article)

You and your ilk nearly choked the life out of our country & likely would have succeeded if not for Trump et al. It is clear to see why you:

Refer to MAGA as a noun instead of a phrase of patriotism

Hate Trump and the shadow he casts upon the ground.

He blew it for you and your Stalinist home boys and you hate it.

Tell us more about your business. Who were your 5-largest commercial customers? What was your territory for sales/Marketing/Services. We all want to know more now because you posted this link. You got some splainin' to do boy.

Got it. In your benighted world you are either a believer in Trumpenomics or you're a commie. Is that what you teach in your seminars?

I don't do seminars Dan. Now answer my questions you negative pressure mogul.
I've given as much personal information as I'm going to give, thank you anyway. It is astonishing to me the seemingly universal notion from MAGA's that any criticism of Donald Trump's economics can only come from "commies." That free market criticism is "commie" criticism. The blinders you people have put around your eyes is something to behold. I was worried for a while that Trump would get his way with his insane tariff policy (if you can call his pinball actions a policy). But I had forgotten he has a tendency to implode on his own vanity, and that's what seems to be going on at this point. Economic reality has slapped him on the cheek. I hope he has learned his lesson before his implosion bring us all down.

I asked for professional info. I expected nothing less as I suspect that your claims are exagerated. You give me what I asked for and I will render to you, tit for tat, the exact information that applied to my business.

Why do you continue to use MAGA as a noun?

It is of no concern to me what you suspect, believe what you want to believe. I have long thought you were full of hot air. At least half the comments you make on this board are so off topic I wonder if you’re Woody’s twin brother. If your seminars are as scatterbrained as most of your comments on this board the attendees probably come away scratching their heads thinking they wasted their time and money. Anyone who thinks all criticism of Donald Trump and his wacky trade policies (God only knows how many policies he has) is “commie” would never be hired to give advice on how to negotiate. Are you sure you’re not an inmate in an asylum?

Don't really care a whit about what you "think". If you're legit you could provide some basic business information, but you're not. In Texas you would be considered quite correctly as "All hat & no cattle".

But you *do* care what I think. You ask me what I think all the time, usually something off topic from the thread.

I'll say it again. South Korea has one Ford dealer. The US has 1500 Kia and Hyundia dealers. The US historically has "brilliant trade nigotiators". Ho! Ho! Ho! Who was it who just spent a 39 day visit to Tokyo and never laid eyes on a Big 3 auto?

We now have a president who is trying to maybe just a little bit level glaring one sided trade deficits.

Japan sells us autos and TVs. We sell Japan legumes and natural gas.

Harley Hogs sell okay in Japan. Fewer trade barriers on bikes than autos.

You have brought up the Korea/Ford vs America/Kia statistic several times without once explaining its significance. I would ask you to explain what you find so significant about it.

Trade barriers prevent Ford from squandering resources for a second dealer.
Since Korean trade barriers (tariffs) limit car buying options for South Koreans, does it not make sense that high trade barriers (tariffs) by America will limit car buying options for Americans? Why should American car buyers be hurt by their own government because Korean car buyers are hurt by theirs?

Why do either car buyers or auto manufacturers need to be hurt?

There was a time when it made sense for countries like South Korea, Japan and European countries to have tariffs and trade restrictions on US goods. They needed the time and protection to rebuild their manufacturing, economies and societies after they had all been decimated in war. Even China needed those protections when the US opened trade with them. While all of this was needed that time has long past, now they are just taking advantage. Time for that to stop.

Taking advantage of what? Their own consumers? Why does our government want to take advantage of US consumers just because the Korean government takes advantage of its? What is that supposed to help?

Assume the answer is no. How does our government hurting us because the Korean government hurts its people help?

Is the South Korean government hurting it's people with their trade restrictions or are they helping the South Korean people with their trade restriction? Considering South Korea exports more to the US than they import, which creates wealth and jobs for the South Korean people the answer is obvious to anyone that thinks rationally.

You are only looking at the short term with no thoughts on how everything changes if and when restriction are removed.

South Korean tariffs (or trade restrictions) hurt South Korean consumers. They restrict purchasing options and allow the “unrestricted” domestic auto maker to charge buyers higher prices because the competition for market share is lowered. Therefore the answer is the trade restrictions hurt South Koreans much more than they help. They help the very limited number of people in the S Korean auto industry while hurting millions of ordinary S Korean citizens. If the US imposes the same kind of trade restrictions on S Korean cars it will have the same effect on the US. So please try again. Explain how hurting ordinary American by copying the same detrimental policies as S Korea is supposed to help ordinary Americans.

Well there you are wrong again. Just once instance.

I get it Dan, you want the status quo but under Trump the status quo is dead. Trade deals will be modified, tariffs and trade restrictions will change on all sides and that will be good for the world, well maybe not China but that's their choice.

What I want is free trade, Bearcat. I’ll read your link. In exchange I ask you to read this link all the way through. You might find his explanation of Myth Two to be helpful.

Oh, one other thing real quick. You do realize all profits from the announced $21 billion (we’ll see if that’s what it turns out to be) investment will be added to the trade deficit, do you not?

We all want free trade but is it really free when countries place trade restrictions on others? I say no, you say yes.

Oh my goodness. Brother you have the attention span of a gnat. There was no one on this board as harshly critical of Trump’s brain-dead predecessor than me.
