Several missed opportunities. Still making dumb mistakes. Still getting outcoached... often. still having kicking game issues... We should've gone for it on 4th and 1. That extra 4 points would've helped a lot.
Mix that in with Mason's red zone pick 6 and our two bounced fg attempts, and that all represents between a 16 and 24 point differential in Tech's favor.
That's a recipe for an upset.
But in the end, we found ourselves unexpectedly tied, got a stop, converted a tough third down, scored and got another stop on the road to get the win.
I may be too optimistic but I think this will serve us well. Maybe better than a cleaner 17 point win.
