No you don’t. It makes Phantom Menace look like Citizen Kane.Still havent seen The Last Jedi. Need to catch up!
Not because it is good, more so for the storylineNo you don’t. It makes Phantom Menace look like Citizen Kane.
It is a 2 hour space chase in which the speeds approach 5mph. Everything will be ignored in the new one. There is only one thing that happened of importance and I won’t spoil it. And Luke tweeting the nipple of a space alien to get blue milk was maybe the cringiest scene in cinematic history. Not because it is good, more so for the storyline
They pretty much left nothing of any story after the last one. Kind of bizarre to leave no cliffhangers or any storyline on a movie #2 out of 3.It is a 2 hour space chase in which the speeds approach 5mph. Everything will be ignored in the new one. Again, literally, no you do not. I can’t stress to you enough, you don’t. It’s easily the worst of the 8 films and it ends up basically exactly where it started. There is zero progression of any actual storyline, and nothing to go off of going forward. Ughh, I get pissed just thinking about it hahaha. Not because it is good, more so for the storyline

Exactly. Which sucks bc, while it wasn’t the most original or the best, Episode VII ended w unbelievable promise. I was so excited about all the possibilities of where the series could go. Those possibilities were basically squashed the moment she threw the light saber to Luke and he just let it fly over his shoulder. It was like something out of a Naked Gun movie. Then it just got worse from there. So we went from a million amazing possibilities at the end of EVII to zero at the end of EVIII. Like my friend said walking out of it “I just watched the destruction of the SW story”.I guess - spoilers - for EvilPOKES, so look out.
With Episode VIII, Rian Johnson absolutely OBLITERATED Episode VII and the goodwill, future storylines and general "Hey, this is back on track!"-ness it fostered. I left VIII feeling entirely unfulfilled and with the realization there was *NOTHING* for the Skywalker Saga to share with viewers. What story is left? Emo Vader turns good and helps Rey, a homeless young woman who instantly becomes a Jedi and can wield a lightsaber without any meaningful training? Who's the bad guy? (We kinda know now.) Why did we burn a movie-and-a-half on Snoke? Will there be any explanation about him? And it really doesn't matter now, anyway. There's only one old guard character left - and they are wheeling out a second *FINALLY* because they realized that they had no old characters left. (I still say Lando should have been running that casino in VIII - how cool would that have been?)
Honestly, VIII is so damn putrid I'll never watch it again. It was the only SW movie I only saw once in theaters, including Rogue One and Solo. I even saw the originals in the theaters more thanks to the 1997 re-release. I. Will. Never. Watch. That. Movie. Again! Maybe one day - to hate-watch. Or study it for deeper review. It has pinned IX into a corner with nowhere to go but crap. I wish JJ godspeed because VIII ruined VII retroactively and starts IX with a huge deficit.
Vision scene - ole Grampa Palpatine gonna try and get her to turn...so Rey goes dark side?
Saw it....where’s Luke?
Oh yeah...Rian J destroyed the storyline.
In all three long awaited sequels we didn’t see Luke stare down a bad guy or touch a lightsaber once. Brilliant work Disney.
What's more disappointing, how this has been handled, or how Game of Thrones ended?
Well even Charles Manson had followers...I liked Last Jedi.

For what’s it worth I didn’t think Last Jedi was that bad and I enjoyed it also.Indeed. I understand a lot of people really liked Rogue One. Go figure.
This is worse then @Been Jammin saying His Dark Materials was just meh. You’re off the hook Been!I liked Last Jedi.

This thread on the main board - particularly the rumors of late reshoots and negative test audience screenings - is disturbing at best.

Tell great stories without an agenda and treat heroes like heroes, and you will print money.

Crap I’m taking my kids tooThat's a long movie.
The last one was too long, so obviously it’s a good idea to make the next one longer.
