Is it racist for the players in any support to refuse the invitation to visit the White House?

Would players like Lebron refuse to go to the White House if the president was non White?

The better question is how would the media have reacted to a white player refusing an offer from their messiah.

How soon people forget...

"President Obama honored the 1972 Miami Dolphins this week, the only NFL team to complete an undefeated season (sorry, Patriots fans). However, three members of that team — Hall of Fame center Jim Langer, guard Bob Kuechenberg, and defensive tackle Manny Fernandez — declined the invite, citing political differences."

"Matt Birk, the former Baltimore Ravens center won the Super Bowl earlier this year, but refused to meet President Obama because of the president's support for Planned Parenthood. 'I am Catholic, I am active in the pro-life movement, and I just felt like I couldn't deal with that," Birk said. 'I couldn't endorse that in any way.'"

What the hell are you responding to? Seriously? Are you a 2nd grader?

Viking asked what the media response would be.

Here's an example. (And pay better attention in the future)

Yep. Trump is being a drama queen.

The media did exactly that in 2012 to a Boston Bruin.

ESPN's Joe McDonald said, in part:

But when the president of the United States invites you and all your teammates to the White House to honor your Stanley Cup championship, you go and represent the team.

Did BHO ever comment on this? Does the current thin skinned narcissist comment at every perceived slight? That Boyz and Girlz is the difference...

Don't know and don't care. But, if he did comment it would be something along the lines of "the white player acted stupidly" since he was a Bostonian and BHO had a track record for maligning white Bostonians.

Adding you to the thin skinned crowd... seriously what a putz response.

Who gives a shit if Hezbollah Hussein commented. The point was media response.

Oh, and the 72 dolphins. Please

Hilarious... on the one hand "f the GD MSM-13" and on the other all that matters is "the media response".

You be you Dog, no one else possibly could be!

Where did OP address the Trump response?

He’s referencing the MSM and useful idiot response.

Really I was listening to Lebron run his mouth about this and started wondering if he would have said the same thing if there was a conservative non white as president....

I am guessing he would not so......

And I'm very sure ESPN would not state that "you go and represent" connect now.

Personally I have always thought that there was some things that transcends politics and sports is one of them so if invited your should just shut up and go. Your team is being honored as world champions show class and go.
