Political fallout for Trump from controversial tweets

Americans love winners.

Funny as hell. Trump economy so good Dems do not want to talk about anything meaningful, just racism. When was the last time a party would not even discuss the economy? The only plan they have is to create the perception of more racism and scare people for votes.

House of Reps? Voted today to not impeach Trump and to hold the AG and commerce chief in contempt of Congress. Yesterday? Oh boy, we hate Trump words, let's vote on it. We pay them for that?

Democrats are just pissed off that Trump is better at playing their game than they are. Democrats grew accustomed to having some weak ass Republican they could beat the hell out of without fear of the Republican hitting back. Trump not only hits back, he puts the ground and pound on them.

That's only among Republicans (go figure). Among American Adults, the polling has indicated that about 68% find his comments offensive/racists. Given that only about 24% of ALL Americans consider themselves Republicans, I don't know what you are crowing about. (Yes, Democrat numbers are down as well, at around 31%, with Independents holding the majority at 42%.)

Huh? Trump's latest polling from Rasmussen has him at a 50% approval compared to 45% for Obama in the same period of Presidency. Remember how well most of the polls did at predicting the 2016 election? How many had Trump by a landslide vs Hillary's chance to win of 92% to Trump's 8% or less?

"As of October 2017, Gallup polling found that 31% of Americans identified as Democrat, 24% identified asRepublican, and 42% as Independent"

"In Pew Research Center surveys conducted in 2017, 37% of registered voters identified as independents, 33% as Democrats and 26% as Republicans. When the partisan leanings of independents are taken into account, 50% either identify as Democrats or lean Democratic; 42% identify as Republicans or lean Republican"

Trump's approval rating is 50% among all surveyed people in the Rasmussen poll, not "just Republicans" as asserted by hollywood. Obama's in the same poll at the same point in his presidency? 45%.

Does that mean anything for 2020? Not at this point, but it does ground and pound the Democratic narrative that the majority rejects Trump.

cank should ride in on the white horse and
run again
Michael Obama will ride in on a black stallion to save the day for the dems...after all the debates so s/he doesn't have to take a position.

I would have said white stallion but we all know that the horse would be labeled a privileged white supremacist horse.
