Kirk Douglas being alive amazes me.

When he had his stroke, I figured he would be gone soon after.

I know. And even though his speech was impacted, he still made public appearances when the rest of the world would have not left the house.

Haven’t seen him lately, though. No idea what condition he’s in now.

I saw his interview from 2 years ago at 100, his speech was slow, but he still had hints of that “growl” that he always had. And seemed pretty sharp, like his mind was working much faster than his mouth could go.

Changing the subject a bit, but I saw where Clint Walker died earlier this year at 90. Amazing that a guy that large lived that long.

Dude was 6’6” and 235 in his prime. And in better shape naturally than most men half his age during those times. He was also just a very decent person, probably lost out on a lot of roles simply because he didn’t want to cuss or display shallow morals in his films.

If there was ever an actor that should have been Superman, it was him.
