We are all standing around at a family party and one of the farm dogs walked up, plopped down and starting licking his own balls. My uncle said "boys if you could do that you would never leave the house."

If you could lick your own balls and buy yourself a decent pair of boobs, that coupled with robotic vacuums and mops, electric dishwashers, washers and dryers, dust repelling furniture polish, and delivery food, you've elimintated the need for women.

I'm not sure what was new in this ad that was supposed to change anyone's mind. Still Never Hillary, Never Trump. Hard to imagine either having an ad so powerful that I would vote for someone I agree with about 40% of the time over someone I agree with 80% of the time.

Any other time I would do the same. The Supreme Court issue with the 2nd am (and others frankly) under constant attack is what made this different.

Couching voter preference in a single issue is definitely a thing.

Not saying yours is 100% a single issue, but to many people, it just might be. I imagine a lot of people will be in the position to vote for Trump (or Hillary) based on a single issue they are very passionate about, so passionate that it overrides the perceived negatives of voting for that individual.

In fact, it would be interesting to tally up perceptions on who wins individuals "single issue voter" preferences. For example, if the single passionate issue is protection of gun rights, Trump appears to be the preference. If you don't give a dump about backing Americans stationed abroad, like they (ambassadors/embassy workers) are just a DRAG on government, then your preference is Hillary. Etc.

You voting for Trump in the Oklahoma General Election really isn't going to make a difference because our electoral votes are going Republican no matter what you or I do.

I'm still a never Trump guy. I'm also a never Hillary guy. I know my vote is going to be for a candidate that won't win, but it has value in the effort to keep third parties on the ballot in Oklahoma at all levels by getting Libertarian party enough votes to stay an officially recognized party without going through another petition.

Sound reasoning and I just might get behind it. Just feels more honest to vote for the guy I think has the best chance to win and protect the Constitution. In previous election cycles I haven't felt like there was an existential crisis for the constitution like there is now. And while I don't think that makes me a single issue voter it certainly is the one thing that must be protected in my opinion, or we are done.

I do have to admit I also really like the vitriol and chaos that Trump is causing statists from both parties to experience - speaking of existential crises. His candidacy is a direct threat to the uniparty supremacy. And while he's clearly not an ideal candidate the anarchist in me is really enjoying seeing these people's true motives unmasked.

Fai enough. My response was more to your post "Never Trumpers, What Say You?" than it was to your voting decision. Probably should have quoted it too.

Double this.

What if you lived in a swing state? Same strategy? Or would you bite the bullet and vote for Trump?

I don't live in a swing state, so I really haven't engaged in that much conjecture or thought about it, honestly. If I lived in a swing state, I imagine I wouldn't view Trump as any more trustworthy to pick a Supreme Court Justice that is in line with my legal principles than I do Hillary. Furthermore, much of the rest of his "platform" as I can gather from his ramblings doesn't really sync with my principles. In fact, I don't really think he has any true principles for governing at all. I think he just says shit to rile people up. A Hillary Presidency scares/concerns me no less and no more than a Trump Presidency does. It is a "The Devil You Know v. The Devil You Don't" situation for me.

I can't, in good conscience, vote for Trump. I can't, in good conscience, vote for Hillary.

I'd still vote Libertarian.

If a gun was put to my head, and I was forced to vote for either Trump or Hillary.....I'm not sure what I'd do....maybe tell them to go ahead and pull the trigger.

I agree with much of this but he's already floated a pretty acceptable list of judges.

This Hilary FBI investigation is another game changer. I believe foreign governments have blackmail info on her and I believe Obama has the leverage to obstruct / Aquit in exchange for her sponsorship of his legacy quest issues - one of which is clearly gun control. I imagine there's an Obama Supreme Court seat as part of him keeping her fat ass out of prison.

Lots of scary things about Trump but we aren't just comparing two bad candidates when one has this email/FBI albatross.

I truly believe several components of our Constitution hang in the balance and I think it's obvious Trump will do less damage than she might, given the circumstances.

This is in no way an endorsement. But I really think Hillary is something much worse than a terrible politician.

I understand your position and don't find it unreasonable although I don't necessarily agree with all of it.

The legitimacy of social justice warriors and the insistence to counter Martin Luther kings ideas about race are the two most important issues of 2016. Our country is losing its mind in regards to race and xenophobia being inserted into every conversation. We have to shut that down with a vote for trump. He is an ass, all he talks about are polls, but someone who is going to be surrounded by a staff of conservatives, despite all their faults is better than the alternative of msnbc getting their wish list of executive branch policy making. It's a no brainer. A protest vote is just great for every office on the ballot, but not president.

It's not a protest vote to vote for the best candidate for the position in your personal opinion. It's just not choosing to eat either of the shit sandwiches offered.

And you're being overly dramatic both in what you think voting for Trump will accomplish and in the dangers of Hillary being elected regarding your single issue.

This x1000. I couldn't have explained my position on this election better myself.
