We have an incredibly bring future. Probably not winning the strap next year. I am all about redshirting Lockett , robideau, and Vega if possible.

I’m with you 100%, the question is, will the athletes, Lockett in particular, be on board.
They can be convinced. An incredibly small amount of true freshmen AA’d this year. If they want to be four time all Americans typically redshirting is the way to go.
Like I said, I’m with you. From what Lockett has said all along, I’ll have to see it to believe it. Would be great if it worked out.
I doubt Lockett would be happy about redshirting behind a guy with 3 or 4 years of eligibility left.
Very interesting. Clearly they have an idea of where they think everyone fits and that BT has an opportunity somewhere. Personally I'm not sure where that is but you never know how people develop from one year to the next. Maybe they are going to put BT on my eating regime and beef him up to heavyweight

Lotta talent in that 165-197 range. Not sure how it’s gonna shake out but a logjam is a good problem to have. I lost the tweet when my TL refreshed, but I saw someone last night claiming that BT never actually hit the portal and it was his dad trying to drum up interest in him. Someone replied claiming the dad is a real piece of work, but I don’t know how true that is and don’t want to throw out unfounded claims about someone.
Actually, lets discuss this. *Caveat being if BT is bought in or the rumors are true that he is just a good kid that likes Wrestling, but doesn't "live" it.

Yeah I’m not a fan of trying to get Dee to cut to 157. Let him have at 165 as a true frosh or redshirt him
I agree with this 100%. I personally fall in the "always redshirt" camp as I think the benefit is huge but this decision has no bearing on my life haha
It’s a different day and age too. More short term vs long term thinking than in the past. It’s fun to think about building depth etc. on paper and everything lining up, the truth is, most are playing for right now.

There is a lot of talk about soon everybody will be getting 5 years to wrestle with 5 years of eligibility…no redshirts. I think that is playing into some of this.

Lots of kids have been interested in Ohio State but when they try to step out of the portal in Columbus they're met by an angry old man who won't stop throwing bricks or wildly gesticulating, so the just get back in the portal and leave...
