Great news. Now we are 1 step closer to Penn. St. 26-27 could be the year we are in at least the same league as Penn. St. Might be lineup 25=Spratley sen, 33=Forrest fr, 41=Vega fr, 49=Swiderski sen, 57=Robideau fr, 65=Lockett soph, 74 Facundo sen, 84 Ryder soph, 97=Merrill soph, HWT=Ross fr,. This is a lineup of many All Americans and some possible National Champs.
Can we convince Lockett to go 65

Take a peek over at the Penn State board. It is amazing how they are trying to make out Ryder and David Taylor into the bad guys for how Ryder's transfer all worked out. Very similar to how Democrats turned their back on Elon Musk and Tesla. They can never do anything wrong, and it is never their fault. It is pathetic.

He went from being a future multiple time champ and great teammate to mentally weak and a quitter in 5 minutes lol

Historically, empires often fail to recognize their decline until it's irreversible, as the process of decline is usually gradual and complex, and the ruling elite may be resistant to acknowledging the changing realities.

Edit: For the record, I recognize that currently PSU is seemingly as strong as they’ve ever been.

There's a few posters over there saying that, but the majority wish Ryder well and have nothing but respect for him and wish he would've stayed to battle it out with Rocco. Don't let a few Negative Nellies speak for the entire fanbase. Unfortunately no matter where you go, the negative ones, even if they're in the minority, seem to get more attention than the positives.

Personally, I think it's great for the sport to see DT doing what he's doing and what he's very quickly building. Yes, it's making me nervous.

Loudest voices rarely represent the majority.

I may have just caught the portion of the posts that were all negative. Were you surprised that this happened?

Fingers crossed for Braeden

I think the the Penn State fan base as a whole is very knowledgeable and respectful and we appreciate the interaction and insight you guys bring to the table.

Surprised that Zach transferred? Yes.
Surprised at how some of the fans reacted to it? No.

Personally I wish he would have stayed for 1 year and tried to beat out Rocco. But that's just me being selfish. Who knows, maybe Zach really wanted to wrestle for David and this was his push out the door to fulfill that opportunity. We don't know his reasoning and can only speculate. Either way, as fans we should respect it.

When you stock talent like they have done, it becomes inevitable that talented guys will want to get on the mat and will transfer for an opportunity. I expect they’ll have some others transfer out before next season as adding in Ono has got to make some guys realize they won’t be competing. I’m most interested to see how these roster limits impact things. A lot of teams are going to need to trim down soon.

Be best for the sport if penn state has to earn it soon lol. And I think DT and OSU are the only ones capable of pushing Penn state .

I mean what’s the guy going to do play Nintendo Switch all year lol. Lillendahl and Ono will have 25 and 33 locked down until his eligibility runs out.

Davis does have a redshirt to use. And while expectations are super high, we still don't know for sure how Ono at folkstyle will play out.

Cael has a lot more to lose then we do on the Ryder/Welsh gambit. If Ryder can beat him or finish higher than him at NCAAs (barring injury), it will be an obvious blemish on Cael's record. That is significant because he derives so much power from the perception that he is a superhuman who can't bleed.

What I have heard is that he wants to go 165. He is wrestling 175 his senior year but I think 175's have a size advantage and really good 175's Dee is not stronger than them and that makes the match closer. College 174 are very strong, so I think 165 is the weight class for him and I think he wants to beat Mesenbrink for his 1st title.

I think you're putting too much thought into this. I'm sure it bothers Cael a little. Who wants to lose a guy. Inviting Welsh into the room in the first place means this was one possible, and acceptable, outcome. Time will tell how it turns out.

Where is the Figs to OSU come from? He going at 133?
I completely forgot he was even out there. If he was coming to osu he would have to agree to it in advance or Sprately make the decision to bump up. If he came I think the main ? Marks on AA would now be 157 and hwt. Would feel darn good about the other 8 spots.
