Mueller has another notch on his gun.

Is it not rape in your book if they're unconscious? Asking for a guy that posts here.

It's just wrasslin'; roll her over and show her the lights. If she can't see the lights, "shoot" first and ask questions later.

...is he screwed in the same way Obama was when he paid a $300,000 fine for campaign violations or is this far far worse somehow?

Far worse and here’s the difference: Obama’s campaign paid fines for missing reporting deadlines and other clerical errors that many national campaigns (R&D) have paid over the years. It’s the FEC’s version of a wrist-slap to say, “Don’t make us track you down. File your reports on time, dammit!”

Cohen got almost $1M in fines for various bs including his taxi biz and 36 months for admitting he arranged the payments to two women to “prevent the negative publicity of their affairs from affecting the 2016 election.” Mueller and the FBI have the tape recording. Everyone’s heard it. That’s conspiracy to commit election fraud to get someone elected.

There were at least two other people who had personal knowledge of that fact. One was David Pecker who owns/runs AMI. This ‘close friend’ of djt has been cooperating with the SDNY since September and has a non-prosecution agreement for his info on Cohen and Trump and FUTURE investigations. He says the $150k he gave to Cohen to give to the Playboy girl was to prevent her from making Trump look bad right before the election. An individual can’t give that much to a single campaign. It wasn’t Trumps money. And it was definitely intended to affect the election.

The money that WAS djt’s was for Stormy and Cohen first said he, Cohen, had paid it which was a crime in itself because it was an attempt to affect the election. Then Rudy stupidly told Hannity on-air one night that the money was funneled thru a shell company and Trump repaid Cohen out of his own pocket. Sean, off-camera, famously said, “Oh, I didn’t know that.”

The third human witness to the illegal attempt to affect the election was whoever authorized the release of that money from the Trump Co. to Cohen. This info was also released by the SDNY after the sentencing Tuesday. This kind of info cannot be divulged by the Feds in a court filing unless they can prove it, so there’s more to come.

By releasing that info in the statement about AMI and their cooperation/non-prosecution agreement, the Feds are saying to the judge they know who the third person is and that they will be bringing this person to court or entering into an agreement with them in the near future.

Since the T Company is tiny, there are only five people who could have authorized the payment: djt is already an unindicted co-conspirator; Allen Weiselberg (pardon my spelling) the cfo since 1974 and who has prepared all of Trumps income tax returns, but he is already cooperating with Mueller, the SDNY, the NY State Atty Gen, the NYC well, every govt agency in NY wants a piece of his ass (and he’s said he’s ready to give it up) so it can’t be him; that leaves only Junior, Eric or Ivanka. One or two of the three or all of them will end up pleading guilty. By then, they’ll also face jail time for the scam known as the Trump Foundation.

It’s just one drop in a 5-gallon bucket that will prolly overflow in 2019. It’s nowhere near collusion and it’s not supposed to be. Mueller is slowly boxing Trump in. He’s plucking out all of Donald’s lieutenants and he’s already running out of places to turn. Trump’s eventual choice will be whether to risk dying penniless in a Federal pen or fleeing prosecution overseas and risk being poisoned by Putin in some one-star hotel in Kazakhstan.

Trump’s spent his life trying to live like a crime family boss, now he better start working on how to keep from dying like one.

Maria Butina will be interesting Wednesday. Did no one think it was weird she was organizing an NRA-style gun freedom group in Russia? Where? Gun freedom? Where?

Was it weird that she shows up at a campaign rally in Vegas and djt calls on her first to ask him a question? Was it odd that he had an answer prepared for her?

So she flies all the nra bigwigs to Russia and introduces them to a couple of Putin’s money-bag guys. The nra had spent $13M on Romney’s run. The most ever. Then they spent more than $30M on djt from a fund they set up so they can legally withhold the names of the donors.

And who is she again? Some run-of-the-mill Russian grad student at American University? Just happened to have access to the Russian Foreign Minister and Russian Ambassador? Handy!

Before you ask, the collusion has always been about money and laundering it. The collusion info is coming to court by next fall, IMO. Weiselberg and Manafort are the keys to it. They know where the money went. Manafort offers to work for trump for free while Derapaska is breathing down his neck demanding the $19M Manafort owed him? It’s a convoluted mess. You can’t tell the players without a program and a bare wall big enough for a 30-year timeline.

Books have been written about the collusion and have been available since 2016. The collusion background that’s been going on for years will show what a mafioso-wannabe djt has always been. If he were really as tough as he wants us to think he is, he’d be a punk and a thug. As it is, he’s a pussy and a coward. He never fired anyone in his life without a tv script.

Going back to Donald’s girlfriends for a second. The common thread between many of their stories: Donnie doesn’t think it’s a creepy-as-hell compliment to tell each of them how much they remind him of his daughter, after he spills his sweaty seed. I wonder if that’s the line Melania fell for.

that's a nice "hope and a wish" story....too bad reality will eventually settle in.

Also debatable: slaves, maybe they actually wanted to pick all that cotton.

There are campaign finance laws that apply only when Trump the person becomes Trump the candidate or Trump the President.

Plea deal does seem to consist of admitting to paying off bimbos you would have paid off whether his client ran for President or not....but paying off bimbos once your client is a candidate or President is restricted by law in a way it isn’t when your client isn’t a candidate or President.

The reporting requirements are the actual cost of being Trump the candidate/President.
So, if I (hypothetically) am a wealthy entrepreneur who is facing a number of lawsuits, which are mostly frivolous and all of which I and our counsel believes we would prevail in, and I am running for President, if I tell my counsel to settle all the lawsuits to “clear the decks” to avoid distractions during the campaign then that’s a campaign expenditure?

Just to be safe I would clear the decks before I start my exploratory committee.

Why did he wait until he was running for president to pay off Stormy Daniels for a 2010/2011 affair?

To clarify, I'm not saying that isn't the real reason. I think there is a very good chance that the president violated the law. However, I do think they can argue the point, and maybe even successfully, that that is just the way her personally operates.

From Bloomberg (not exactly the Harvard Law Review)

Trump and Cohen were trying to hide that the candidate was paying off the porn star. That’s why they structured the payments so that Cohen would be making them and would only later get reimbursed by Trump or his organization. If Trump had just paid Daniels directly, it wouldn’t have been a crime at all.

Why are there no shortages of lawyers who say it "absolutely is not" because it was his own funds and it was to stave off reputational damage and would've been a concern with or without a presidential run?

Not really trying to argue a legal point here, but you are saying something definitively that is 180 degrees the opposite of things other lawyers like Alan Dershowitz have said.

As well as Ben Shapiro, who is not a Trump fan by any stretch

The more I get my arms around this, the more damning the facts are. Some con posters make some compelling points, but apparently Biff's motive to keep it from being a further campaign issue is pretty well established.

Thomas Jefferson raped his slaves. Running this country is not teaching Sunday school.

Please list every honest person you’ve ever voted for.

This is like watching Mr. Peepers explain ethics.

The anti matter that you call logic prevents you from understanding

it is not possible to have consensual sex with a slave

I definitely won't argue with that point other than to say that neither you nor anyone alive today was there to observe any unique human interactions or relationships that potentially occurred within the disgusting framework of human slavery that existed at the time. Obviously not defending the institution or even Jefferson other than to point out that you don't know for sure what the dynamic was and neither do I.

Is it possible to offer a slave a steak dinner with all the trimmings? Could Jefferson said if you don’t want this you don’t have to have it and sally Hemings nodded her head in approval as she slowly walked toward her captor with mystery and intrigue swirling in her mind...

You get the point pervert.

I know that the slave was legally owned by Jefferson and therefore incapable of providing consent to sex with Jefferson.

I know if my daughter was kidnapped and impregnated, I wouldn't need to know the "dynamic" to call that a rape.

All that is complicated by the provider of the steak dinner having the legal authority to whip Sally to death if she turned her nose up at the steak dinner.

Legal authority does not imply an absolute in action. Come on dude. There are numerous cases of slaves being treated well. He could have brought her flowers and given her back rubs. He could have respected her wishes when she had a headache.

Slavery, like most things liberals try to talk about was/is more complex than the common historical stereotypes.

We definitely have the benefit of being able to look back on those days as having immoral "rights" bestowed upon some of the populace.

We may someday be judged similarly for things like abortion.

Absolutely. I'm not calling for the Jefferson Memorial to be pulled down, because it is there to commemorate all the good things Jefferson did, not the rapes.

We may someday be judged similarly for things like abortion.
Or circumcision.
