If I were foolish enough to vote in 2016 I would have chosen Trump over Hillary. In 2020 I could not bear the thought of seeing Trump reelected or Biden winning, so I would have voted for Tulsi Gabbard if I were foolish enough to vote. In 2024 I will vote for Kennedy only because I made a deal with someone (I’ve already forgotten who it was) that I would. I keep my word. In 2024 I’ll foolishly vote for Kennedy.

As @my_2cents will tell you I am often wrong in my political prognostications. So I concede well in advance that DJT could win the whole thing, I just don’t think he will, and if he does I don’t think his administration (and the reaction from those that hate him) will be good for the country. I’m personally about as fed up with all the Trump hoopla as I was with Hillary in 2016.

Dan, who are the candidates that would perform better than Trump? Why can't they come close to beating him in the primary?
You know Trump's every flaw because he has been in the brightest limelight for 7 years. The other candidates' flaws will come to light in time (if they can keep the primary competitive). Most of them are life long republicans and not even republicans like Republicans from before 2012. Along the line they will slip up and say something neocon or rehash some unpopular Paul Ryan bullshit. Some of them have the charisma of Ron Desantis.
It does not appear that any Republican candidate can overtake Trump for the nomination. But I think DeSantis - and even Ramaswamy - would light up Biden in the general. I don’t think Trump can beat Biden. IMO the Republicans are being stupidly stubborn by backing Trump.
