It's all silly. Everyone knows that the other offers were floating around the 500k/per year mark and Bill said it's a money decision. This isn't a hard nut to crack. There have also been other screen shots with Bill that covered many different things including his concerns with Iowa and how DT was going to have to do better money wise. Did we offer him nothing? No. Were the other offers that were around 500K short of what Iowa offered? Yes

And while it's supposedly a 2 for 1 for Bo and MM... that's just some cover and place holding. MM won't be on campus until '27-'28. Bo rakes the double amount (which is WAYYYY more than 500K) while MM is high school... That's not 2 for 1

What's disingenuous is talking about supposed screenshots that no one can see, and the ones who can, can't verify that they're genuine. Since none of the people being negative can give a shred of evidence, I'll lean toward trusting the words from the horse's mouth. From everything I can see, he's a stand-up guy. A lot of people talk about their faith and it doesn't mean anything, but I don't think he's lying about his faith and so I hope he wouldn't openly lie about these things either. He could just as easily decline to discuss details instead of coming out and saying multiple times very clearly that the rumors of his NIL offers are way overstated.
Honestly I need it to get a little more unhinged. Someone needs report that SLB is giving Bo his own apartment complex to own and run, or a live-in butler is part of the deal. Let’s just get this as weird as possible.

I am very excited we signed Ross. He is a tall athletic heavyweight. Everybody gets excited about smaller guys, but there is a ton of competition in those weights. Recruiting the best at the higher weights most often converts to champions or higher placement in a couple of years.

My thoughts as well. I don't know the numbers, but the amount of blue chip upper weight prospects is probably half the amount of lower weight guys. Just look at high school, most of the upper weights aren't very good wrestlers and that translates to college as well.
And the kid is just a prototype. So long and athletic. He will be able to hang alot of weight and still look a 197 lol

I don't care who gets Bo. But you guys think by saying Iowa is paying 5 million is a bad look for Iowa. In reality you guys are helping Iowa by telling the best they will pay more than anyone else. All these rumors are hilarious nobody knows what anyone gets paid NIL wise. And I don't believe Iowa doubles up offers or offered Bo 5 million.

If you're not deflecting then you're purposefully misleading. You know it's not coming from OSU (even though what has come from OSU backs up the numbers per). You also know that there is a pay gap which you parade in one post as "Iowa coaches winning like they are paid to do" and then deny and classify as propaganda in the next.
I think the concensus is that it's extremely bad for wrestling... not bad for Iowa.
Now I think it will hurt Iowa in every other negotiation whether its kids that are already studs on their roster or outside the program, but if Bob has enough money that's no problem at all.

The last guy always gets the most until checked. Look at every new QB contract in the NFL. Are Dak, Goff and Love better than Mahomes? Or are they the most recent. What Wyatt and Plott got paid prior to Bob blowing the landscape up with his Buchanan payday is irrelevant... They aint making shit comparatively because they came before.

Wyatt deal was done after DT was hired. He talks about DT calling him to recruit him on his Flo interview . He told him he was gonna take a few visits then decide. So his NIL deal was done when DT was the coach

I'm not even sure what you're arguing at this point. I never said anything about them predating DT or not. I'm saying that every new negotiation gets bigger that the last. I'm also saying that we made a big jump this last spring and summer and Iowa led the jump.
