How do you defend this? Trump shares classified data with Russians.

Dude, you outed yourself long ago.

Actually, you thought I was another poster before you and boyJd settled on this toon poster.

You both continue to be wrong though, but hey, it gives me a good laugh.

Maybe you will claim I'm some other poster next week. Can't wait to see who that is!

This makes me chuckle. !!!!!

GL97 is not loonyToon. For one Toon wouldn't be able to go this long with out calling a mod a POS for not bending to his will and banning everyone who disagrees with him. This GL97 fellow or gal likes the debate. Very different style then loonyToon. Of course Toon could have went on meds.

@GL97 what is your favorite sports team? I am guessing Auburn, Georgia or UF.

I'd actually like to see some posts from this toon character. He seems to have made an impact on this board. So much so, some posters see him every where.

In terms of college athletics, I like UNC and Miami.

Not a fan of the SEC at all.

The best one got deleted. Most of his work ends up in the trash. He is a bit of a loon and if you don't think like him then you should die. He also wished Trump death on Twitter and then informed this board he bought a gun all in the same thread on here.

Seriously? That is crazy.

Wouldn't be shocked if he didn't get a visit from the Feds after that.

Absolutely 100% Clinton.

You spell to well and use to much punctuation to ever be confused with me. lol

Are you a liberal or a conservative? That would matter too.

Of course, maybe I have a conservative personality on here. Who knows.

lol

I am fiscally conservative but I really don't care what people do socially as long as it doesn't infringe on others rights and it is two consenting adults. I have said for a long time that gay people should have the right to marry and I have no problem with them adopting as it gives the chance for a kid to go to a loving home. I also think pot should be legal and don't care if people smoke it or not. I do lean a little left on environmental issues as long as they are with in reason. I just love the outdoors and want it to be there when I have kids. I as a christian also want to keep the church and state separate because it opens the door to both being abused.

Does any of that make it OK if Trump did do what the WaPo claims? Or is this more.."whataboutism"?
Just wondering -- where was your outrage and where was that of the media?

Note: I've not at any time defended Trump nor suggested the story wasn't true, or at least partially true..

I did not watch Zero Dark Thirty in retaliation for the third story.

Can't remember if I was bothered about those stories or not. It has been a while. Truth be told, I probably wasn't paying close attention. I know I wasn't posting on this board at the time.

Just went back and looked at them again.

On story #1... I remember being embarrassed by our government's bumbling error.

On story #2... I have no problem with what the government did in that situation. I don't think it compares to what Trump did (according to WaPo).

On story #3.... first I have heard about it was today. I need to look into it more, but first blush is that what they did is very serious.

MJD does have a point. The media focuses on the scandals that reinforce their narratives. For Trump he it is he is impulsive and reckless. For Obama it was he was aloof and weak. Which is why Syria and Russia got a lot more burn in the Obama years than his illegal wars in Yemen and Libya.

Bam.

Of course. And the scandals inform the narrative, along with the opposition's push back. And a politician should always understand this. Many of them don't though it seems (or are unable to overcome their faults) and play right into the narrative.

For example, one of the narratives during the Clinton years was his behavior with women. Clinton knew this, and yet, what does he do? He has an affair with an intern and plays right into the narrative. He brought on himself a mess when he should have known better.

But politicians are after all human and thus have faults. And the narratives that usually develop are based upon these faults. It takes a strong and humble person to recognize their weaknesses and reform.

Fox News reporting that Trump was not even briefed on the information he supposedly leaked. Someone in the Deep State overplayed their hand. Oops.

http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2017...eal-scandal-behind-washington-post-story.html

I would've loved for Trump to clean house on Day 1 but understandably, that might create issues with getting your government up and running. Tillerson and the State Department finally got around to it, the DOJ did as well. As has been stated many times on this board, nobody expected the Trump Administration to be a well oiled machine by now. I fully expected it to be a dogfight all the way up to the midterms. In the best case scenario, I hope Trump uses these leaks to pin down exactly whom he needs to fire in the intelligence community.

Well you're uncharacteristically quiet on all this. What's your opinion of him?
I think:

  • he's an exceptionally ungraceful and often obnoxious man
  • a President wholly borne out of the times we live in and a direct result of what Obama and Clinton wrought (and Bush to a lesser extent, I suppose)
  • On the foreign policy front, he seems wholly in over his head. He appointed some very qualified individuals, but doesn't seem to want to listen to them closely enough.
  • the media, SJW's/Anitfa, Maxine Waters and friends, are helping him solidify much of his base by their overreach and over-reaction (and in some cases, fabrication) on various stories. This happened with Obama too, but it was done then by mostly by conservative aligned media that did not pretend to be unbiased or non-partisan.
  • His children seem to be well-adjusted, mostly normal human beings. I would probably give the bulk of the credit to his first wife, but I think you have to give him some credit also, after seeing how many very wealthy families wind up with multiple screwed up kids

You are so wrong here. But don't stop on that account!
I'm actually not. But thanks for the input. As I said earlier, he outed himself early on with this screen name. He even made a mistake today that provides all you actually need to see it plainly. I don't particularly care. It's just entertainment for me.
