I'm hoping for non-partisan discussion. Just from a technical perspective, it seems like something like 40% of those who identify as mostly conservative love him and the other 60% really don't like him. Throw in the Dems view of him and it seems like his favorability in a general election would be very low.
The only caveats that I can come up with that might put him in a position of winning the general election are:

- Bernie supports are in a lot of cases, anti-Hillary and could stay home
- Democrats don't show up to vote in the same percentages as the Republicans.
- Hillary could in fact be indicted, although I don't see that happening
