Same here, neither my wife or myself have FB anymore. The reason is the same as Jimmy's, can't stand the idiotic drivel and constant "look at me and my selfie I want to hear how pretty I am blah blah blah blah blah."

I'm even more of a minority as I don't do any of the other social media things and I don't text. I can't understand the logic of spending 30-45 minutes typing back and forth to accomplish what an actual 2-3 minute conversation does.

I do text. In many cases I prefer it. This board is my only social media like activity.

I suppose I could envision a time when texts would be beneficial. My dislike for them comes from being around people texting and hearing the constant chiming/ringing of their phones receiving multiple texts or being in meetings and hearing the phones vibrate on the tables the phone is laying on. It's very annoying. Not to be excluded are all the people I see running stop signs and stop lights while texting.

Not really. Happy New Year! And I hate distracted drivers. I've seen too many innocent folks die at the hands of them.
